Went the Good Ole Boys in Sylacauga AL. I ordered a pulled pork plate with a side of mac and cheese and fries. I asked if they could add melted cheese and bacon on top of the pork. I got my food and the cheese and bacon was on the side. I thought it was no big deal and my boyfriend took my plate back and asked politely to melt the cheese on the pork. The cashier took the plate to the kitchen window and asked the older lady in the kitchen to heat it up. The lady had the rudest response. She complained loudly to the cashier in the rudest way “No but this is the only time I will. They are just trying to get porky fries. They are just gonna mix the fries with the pork. They could have ordered porky fries if they wanted them.” She said that so rudely and loudly in front of everyone that I could hear it and I was on the other side of the restaurant. She was basically trying to say that we were scamming them by getting that even though my actual plate costed more than porky fries. The reason why I got the plate was because I don’t eat the fries and didn’t want them mixed in with my pork. I just had 2 side options so I just chose fries randomly. I shouldn’t have to even explain why, I should have been given my food as I ordered it. The rest of the staff were very nice. We had one younger lady with black hair come check on us and apologize for the other lady’s behavior. The older lady’s name is April. She needs to be fired. If you don’t enjoy your job then don’t work there and make it miserable for other staff and paying customers. That was by far the rudest restaurant experience I have ever had.

I wanted ordered a cat fish combo. I went to check the prices on uber eats. And they are were 3 dollars higher then uber eats. Which is weird. So 12.99 for a catfish combo is above average so I ask the girl that the pieces must be bigger and she hesitates and says idk. I know I will want more than one piece so I get the 2 piece. Which has to be 14.99 and some change cause my total came out to be 20 dollars cause I added a drink which was 3 dollars. I get my food and they really cut a fish fillet into quarters. So what they call a 2 piece is essentially half of a fillet. The cold slaw was decent can’t tell what they added in there. It all looked like it came off a food truck. Was not pleased at all. Definitely 1 star. Below is the difference in what I would have paid on u er eats versus what I actually paid. They need to advertise then as catfish nuggets. Or a kids catfish plate.

horrible service! when placing a order over the phone for pick up they were quick to get off the phone and messed up my whole order and even overcharged me and was very very rude when i was trying to explain what was wrong with the order and continued to make me seem like i was dumb and didn’t know what i was talking about. 2 young girls being very smart and i will be going to good ole boys in childersburg from now on. that’s prime example of letting young girls work for food service and can’t take up for their own mistakes or take accountability.

30 minutes ago I picked u my order for work 1 cheeseburger and 1 pork sandwich. Got to work my burger was rare at best so i took it back and was as absolutely as charming as possible and the nice girl told me to pull forward. after 10 minutes or so she brought it to me and said here is your burnt well done burger and she ran off around the corner to vape . Look I'm 57 years old and have been grilling burgers for a long time so I know what a uncooked raw hamburger looks like and I don't want one. Well I should have just kept the first one because they took my burger apart and cooked the same patty and gave it back 45 minutes old burnt and nasty . I didnt even eat it just threw away. 100% true facts from just over a hour ago. 12/19/25 @ 1:06pm

Every time I go in there and order a hamburger steak meal the hamburgers always raw a couple beside me order a hamburger steak meal and fish hamburger steak was raw her fish was raw and the gentleman done finished his meal before she ever got her fish back

Had to send back the grilled fish. It wasn’t even close to being done. While we waited, we noticed another customer sent back a hamburger steak for the same reason. Great way to loose customers!

I don't live where they are located but when I was traveling through there I decided to try their food, it proved to be one of the best decisions I've ever made that food and was amazing! I ate the leftovers 4 hours later cold and it was just as good as when it was hot. I highly recommend these guys they know what they're doing.
Went a little after 12pm today, was a bit crowded as expected being it was lunch hour. But, the guy cashier was super friendly and we got out food fast, I say around 6-7 minutes. Mightve been a little longer but didn't seem like it. The restaurant was clean (which is a plus). We love going to the Good Ole Boys in Sylacauga bc they have tvs, so we can watch a little something while we enjoy our meal.
Don’t order the grilled chicken salad they can’t get it right to save their lives, the last two times I’ve ordered it for pick up it’s been wrong. I mean come on guys it can’t be that hard to write it down and just put it in the box!
