This is by far one of the most amazing places in the area to eat. Great country style food and the service is amazing. Some of my favorites are gizzards, fish, and livers. But there are so many other great things to eat. Great potato salad and Mac and cheese. If you pass through, you will see a packed parking lot, all day long. That speaks for itself đ

I just used Buddyâs BBQ as a food caterer for my wedding on 02/22/25 and had the BEST experience! I met with them to go over options and set pricing, and they gave me a huge list of options and allowed me to really expand the menu without skyrocketing the price. They provided great tasting food at a great price! I got SO many compliments on our food at my reception - their baked lasagna and mac n cheese being the two most raved about!! The owners are genuine, good hearted people, and they did an outstanding job on my eventđ¤ I would recommend them for any event you need catering for!!

why I haven't eaten here before ,i can't understand,now that I've gone!we ordered fried gizzards & pintos and aJumbo bbq sandwich with mac n cheese,SO GOOOOOOD,THE HOT HONEY SAUCE AND THE TANGY MUSTARD BBQ TASTED GREAT.THE STAFF HERE WAS WORKING WHEN I WALKED IN BUT STOPPED TO SPEAK AND SMILED CARRIED ON GREAT CONVERSATION.They actually made me feel like I'd known them as friends for years.they were light hearted and informative about options of food and specials ...If you haven't been here try it ...they serve specials like fried chicken gizzards & livers ,but on certain days they post on fb the have fried chitterlings(in the south , we call 'em chitlin' plates).they serve a wide variety of sides and sauces..everyone coming in and picking up food or dining in was hungry and happy with their food..This lil quaint restaurant has soul food for the stomach and heart.I'll be back ...Kindness and humor go a long way these days . wish id gotten the names The 3 ladies I talked with ,they deserve props ,as well as the cooks,who did their job perfectly .

Buddy's platter was so good! The ribs, brisket, pulled pork, baked beans and gooey Mac n cheese were beyond our expectations! We have never had fried catfish before and it was great, we loved it! Buddy's is a great little gem in Talladega!!

Waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was mediocre at best. I didnât know you could mess up a BLT. They served 2 slices of bacon on grilled Texas toast with 1 slice of tomato and a bit of wilted lettuce. The Texas toast was way too much bread and it being grilled made the whole sandwich greasy. The BBQ ribs didnât taste like they had ever seen the inside of a smoker: probably oven cooked. The mac and cheese was bland. And the cole slaw was cropped up dry cabbage. No mayo of any kind? Strange. Wonât go back.

This place is great for breakfast or lunch. I have only had a couple of the items on the menu that aren't to my tastes, and I'm sure it's just me. Barbera was a friendly and prompt server, who made sure we wanted for nothing. She made us feel as if we were coming home. They also offer a program to help those who can't afford to eat.
