Just ordered food here seen the reviews but tried it anyway asked for tots specifically on my haystack they gave me fries instead also got the fried pickles and they were so soggy its like they'd been soaked in water. But the lady who answered the phone was nice. Tried to call back again and they hung up on me over and over, never got anyone to answer.

We arrived around 11:30am before the larger lunch crowd. Greeted nicely and welcomed by an open Bible, verses, and a sign in book for travelers. Loved that atmosphere. Service was good. The two things I wanted the most they were out of and that's why I gave food 4 stars. The food we did receive was excellent. Pulled pork and thick bologna sandwiches, fried pickles all very good. Love they have all the sauces on the table. Seating was comfortable and not cramped. It was packed by the time we left and the servers were all smiles and never flustered. We will definitely visit here again when in the area.

The platter i ordered had brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and half a smoked chicken. It was enough to feed two maybe three people. The brisket was delicious amd fall apart in your fingers tender. And the hush puppies were amazing.

The food was worth the hour plus drive. Macaroni and cheese was some of the best I've ever eaten and the sweet tea was really good.

Our waitress was friendly and the food we got tasted good. My boyfriend said his ribs were tough. There was a long wait and there didnt seem to be great communication between the staff. The manager? (Black short hair) was verbally scolding an employee for mixing up orders from behind the counter. The waitress was at a table. It was uncomfortable for us and the staff. They were out of pulled pork and fries so I ordered a cheese burger basket with potato salad. I didnt not get told they were out of potato salad also until the burger was being brought to the table. My boyfriend did not get his baked potato. When he asked for it, he was told they were out of baked potatoes. He asked for a sub of onion rings which they ended up being out of as well. There were call-in orders sitting and waiting for their orders to be filled. Some were being told they needed to pick a sub or had been given the wrong food all together. The staff said they had a big catering event that day but I feel like they should have either refused to cater or closed the resturant (at least early) because they could not handle the load. We did not get the full discount for the potato (it was only a dollar difference) and were offered no compensation for the constant mishaps. We spent $65 total. First experience and we will not be back.

Did a take out order. Girl taking order should not be in that position. I ordered the bbq comb special for 8.99. added a small banana pudding. They called my name, put a bbq sandwich in a small bag and handed it to.me. They looked at the receipt to see my name, didn't notice it was a combo. I had to ask for the tea to go with it, making sure it was unsweetened. I ask where the pudding was told to get out of the cooler up front. Got in my vehicle, waiting at red light at Walmart, took a sip of tea. It had sugar in it. Turned around and went back in and let them know, respond was not professional, laugh about it and one girl said the other does it all the time.
I'm literally in love with this place. When I first came to Talladega, this became one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is really nice, the atmosphere is welcoming. The food is ALWAYS good from the meats to the sweets. No words, just know I get happy when my man say we eating here. Don't get me started on their beautiful deals and daily meals. Everything is amazing here. God bless.

Worst experience I have had in a restaurant. Walked in never been there before. Not greeted, I had to walk and get our menus after a staff person got our drink order. Very slow service. When getting drink order our niece asked for a coke the lady taking the drink order was trying to tell her it is too late for her to get soda after the guardian said it was okay. 5 minutes later we finally have someone come and get our food order. In the midst of the order someone calls her and she answers the phone right in front of us. Stopping the order placing process completely. Then after 30 minutes we ask where our food is and the lady come by our table and rudely says that the order has ONLY been up there for 33 minutes and that it is about to come up. Then for the next 10 minutes we slowly one at a time receive the 4 orders of food we had ordered. Through that entire visit no one checked on us or came to refill drinks. Floors were absolutely nasty as well. I will never be eating at this restaurant ever again.
