I called this morning needing a butt for a funeral and they had it ready in less than an hour. The smoked flavor on that butt was so good . Everyone was bragging on it. Thank you all for helping a girl out at the last minute. Please try this place out , you won’t be disappointed.

The Shack is an older barbecue establishment that offers more than just barbecue. They do offer salads of different types as well as hamburgers/cheeseburgers and fries. The interior is rustic real wood. The staff are friendly and the service is great.

Really this is a great place I got to check this place out on memorial Day they had run out of food the day before which is a good sign and then the very next day I think the guy told me I could call about 4:00 in the morning and he would have taken my order, so this place is legit actually have smokers, this is a good barbecue joint, you ought to check it out see what y'all think.
One of the great things about this place is the atmosphere and it's a great place to make sure to bring your cameras as well as your appetite

Great food! The BBQ salad is my favorite. The service is excellent. To go orders are always timely and on point. The Shack has been right where it sits for as long as I can remember.

It's obviously a local favorite but I can tell you we've had Way better BBQ elsewhere. They only have chopped or sliced pork and ribs. They dont use a rub so the only flavor is the smoke from plain wood , not even a flavored wood,like cherry. They have only 3 sauces which are basically variations of ketchup. And they're In Alabama and dont carry Alabama white sauce. Skip it - you won't miss a thing
