Every month our office preorders a cake from Edgar's for employee birthdays. Decorative cakes such as this Italian Creme or the Sundae Cake normally have "Happy Birthday" written on the cake board. This cake was ordered online two weeks ago, yet was not ready for pick up. It was pulled from the day old cake section then scribbled on, evidently, by a child. Not worth $40+.

The only issue is that there is only one register open at any time and they seem to always be training new staff.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of cookies, cakes, cupcakes and even small food items for kids.

Ordered a small scroll cake for my wedding. When I arrived to pick up the cake the day before the wedding, the cake had a huge split in it and could not be repaired. The Trussville manager went out of her way by calling the Hoover location to get another cake made since the Trussville location does not have a cake decorator who can do the scroll work. She went to Hoover to pick up the cake and called me later THAT DAY to tell me that my cake was ready to pick up. She even offered to bring it to my house, but I went back to the store. The cake was beautiful and delicious as always. They even called me the next day to check on the cake and make sure I was happy with it. I have used Edgar's for a while and have always been extremely pleased with the quality of their cakes, but the customer service I received was above and beyond what I could have expected. They knew this cake was very important to me and went out of their way to make it right. I will continue to get all of my cakes from Edgar's Bakery.

I've learned my lesson. Third or fourth time I've bought brownies that were hard enough to break out their glass windows! If you know, you know...lol! Plus...SLOW as Christmas! *** Bought cinnamon rolls and coconut cake this trip. Verdict is still out. Service was much better.***

This Edgar's is great! They have very talented bakers and decorator there. I asked for Five Nights at Freddie's themed cupcakes. They did an outstanding job and my kid was so happy! Thanks guys!

A lazy weekend outing and this was the perfect spot for a sweet treat. It was well staffed even so close to closing time. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The place was huge and would make a great luncheon or meeting space. The patio was pristine and everything was spotless! Parking in the rear.
Ordered the iconic strawberry c4P!ake (1/2 sheet) for my grandmother's 99th birthday!! It was gorgeous and SO delicious - just like every time previous. THE BEST BAKERY!!!
