Fabulous ambience over looking Spring Park with superb Southern Chef ‘Meat & Three’ and super healthful choices, too!
I was visiting my daughter and we decided to go here based on the reviews. It was good home cooked food. We went for Sunday lunch. You order from your car and they give it to you to go. I recommend looking up the menu online because they have a long line of cars and no menu to view. I got the chicken & dressing with sweet potato casserole. It was really good. I couldn't eat it all.
I love Claunch Cafe! It has a great atmosphere and a wonderful view. The owner is incredibly nice.He was always friendly and walked in with a smile when I worked at foodland. He would even bring us all lunch - my favorite was the chicken tender and buffalo tender salad. If you're visiting for the festivals and other fun events, this is a must-try!

A pleasant surprise! Returning home after decades away, this place came highly recommended and I can see why. The food was perfect and a great example of southern cooking, our servers were fantastic and hospitable, and the prices were exceptional for the amount of food we were served. It’s clear they have a dedicated returning customer base, but for anyone passing through (or those that live local that haven’t made a visit just yet) plan to stop in for an amazing lunch.

I'm honest about my reviews I'm giving a 3star because the pot roast was great. Let me start by saying my husband had the special which was pot roast potatoes lima beans and it was very good. Thankfully he gave me some of his. Because I ordered the pecan chicken salad. Supposedly it's the top 100 things to eat in Alabama. Well I don't even know where to begin. I'm not being ugly but I like I said I believe in truthful reviews. I was able to eat five bites and that was with crackers. It was some of the worst chicken salad I've ever had. Way way too much mayonnaise a few pecans and chunks of celery. I was very excited to try it because I love chicken salad needless to say I was very disappointed. I did eat the little dessert bread that comes with it and the grapes and the cantaloupe and the frozen strawberry fluff. We were just passing through So this was our first time so I'm just going to say this Maybe it was just an off day.

They are consistently good. Great place to pick up a To Go order after church.
This is one of the BEST places to eat in the Shoals! My personal favorite is their fried chicken plate. Everything just seems to taste fresh. I am a tour guide at one of the area home museums, tourists are constantly asking me where to eat. Claunch's is always my answer, and it is also a wonderful choice for those who have MSG allergies!
