Looks unassuming as you drive by but may wonder why all the cars. It is a local favorite for those who enjoy great southern cooking. The entire staff there is friendly and kind. On Sunday, meat and 3 vegetables comes with drink, bread and even cobbler. Win win!
I had meatloaf, and one of my sides was the fried okra. The meal overall was very good, but I have to say that the okra was the best I've had since my grandmother's. If I had known it ahead of time, I could have made a meal of mashed potatoes and the okra. Very nice little place. Great people.
Country fried steak swimming in gravy, fried pork chops, purple hull peas, turnip greens all perfectly cooked and seasoned. If your mouth isn't watering yet there is no south in your soul. The portions are huge, at lunch there are daily specials that include food, drink, three sides and a roll or corn bread at a very reasonable price. There are also great menu specials. They start serving breakfast at 6:30 a.m. The food is wonderful, service is good and the number of locals...
