Best bar and restaurant on Logan Martin Lake. Hours are limited except on the weekend. Inside is old school bar with comfortable seating. Kid friendly until night when it goes 18 and up. The chef is wonderful at creating delicious seafood and chicken dishes along with a very solid steak sandwich. My favorite dish is the fried shrimp dinner the shrimp is done tempura style and is such a nice change of pace from heavier fried food at most places in town. They also have a full bar and a good beer selection. Table service inside and outside on the lovely patio that gives you a great view to watch boats motor by. Everyone from the staff to the crowd is friendly and welcoming so don't let the exterior put you off. The location is down by the damn and easy to get to on the water. Via land it's a bit of a haul if you are in Pell City but I think well worth it.Parking: During summer you can tie your boat up. Coming via car decent sized lot in front of building but can get crowded. It's on a narrow peninsula so watch your tires if parking on street its a drop on the sides.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and a kids menu.

I think this place has potential. Unfortunately, they were understaffed for a busy Friday night. We came in and were told by the bartender to sit anywhere. We decided to sit outside on the porch. Twenty minutes go by and the guy at the table next to us has gone in to pay his bill and I go in to ask for a menu and a server. The server comes out five minutes later and seems very annoyed by us being there. Asks for our drink orders (just waters) takes her ten more minutes to come back with waters. Then we get menus. She immediately asks if we want an appetizer without giving us any time to look. She says she'll come back. 12 minutes later she comes back and tells us that food will take 45 minutes. That's fine, we don't mind waiting. We order our appetizer and food. Twenty minutes later she comes to check on us and we order a beer each. She doubts our ID's (we're both women in our late 20's) but brings us our beers. Other tables are getting served before us and checked on more often than us. The server tells us they're regulars, but it would have been nice to get the kindness they were getting as new patrons. By the time the food comes out we have been there for over an hour and a half. I understand being slam packed (which they were) but to have cold food after waiting that long doesn't sit right with me. The waitress did apologize for the wait for the food and seemed considerably less annoyed with us by the time we were paying our bill. We were at Pier 59 for over two hours for two beers, chips and queso, a BLT, and chicken sandwich with a waitress who seemed annoyed by our existence. I think it's a popular spot for locals for a reason - it's in a pretty location for boats to come to, the bill for what we ordered was reasonable ($35 before tip), and they have a large variety on the menu. With more staff to better serve & cook on a busy Friday night (and maybe cheaper prices on some of the other food), it really would have potential. I do not think I will eat here again if I am in the area. But the food was edible, so three stars. I've also included a picture of the menu since you can't find one online anywhere.

We stopped by to eat after a day of fun on the water. The server handled us well although we were a little hangry!

My family and I just relocated to Alabama from the Midwest and we were really excited to find a restaurant on the water. Our server was great, she was kind and attentive, the restaurant itself though, not so much. The price we paid for our food was incredibly inflated for the very small amount of food that we were served. When I asked about my check which (was $97 for 2 adult beverages, 2 chicken tenders plates 4 cans of spite and a steak sandwich) to whom I'm assuming was the manager or owner, she basically said too bad and gave me $6 for the amount of food she didn't think we received. What a joke... Not the southern hospitality I was expecting, that's for sure. We won't be returning.

I love Pier 59. It's a great place to chill and enjoy a day on the lake. I've only had drinks there. Never eaten there, so I can't rate the food. I can say it looks yummy.

This is my favorite restaurant on the lake, I haven't tried any of the others but to be fair, I don't get to visit often and when I do I really want to go get the wings here. The owner always comes over to say hello and the food is always good. The patio is the perfect place to enjoy dinner and a sunset. I'm thankful that my mom shared this place with me, and now I got to share it with my wife and son!

What a great place to go and eat and have a cold beverage with family and friends. Very accessible by land or by water. They have a great menu to pick from and have indoor or outdoor patio seating. Every time we been they have someone playing on the patio overlooking the the lake. The service and staff are very friendly and extremely nice. Their fried banana peppers and hot wings are the best you’ll ever eat. I highly recommend Pier 59 to anyone and everyone.
