After being in Arkansas for 30 years, I finally got to visit "wine country". Out of the 3 that are available to visit, this was mine & my husband favorite!! The atmosphere is more intimate. The service is a LOT more personable & the people are so much nicer!!
I highly recommend you make this your last stop or your only stop if you're visiting.

Hands down the best winery experience in Altus. Small family owned winery, with the best dry reds in Arkansas. On the sweeter side, the port was fantastic. We got a tour of the winery and a wonderful education on the history of Mount Bethel and Altus. We started our day here but ended up coming back because it was our favorite place.

Mt. Bethel is where I am sure to stop anytime I'm in AR. Now that I have friends who moved to Yellville a few years ago, I get here more often. I like to open a bottle back home in Washington snobby wine areas and ask folks to give me their straight up honest opinion.
Then I show them the label.
