My family and I went in for the first time a couple months ago. Wow! The food is absolutely amazing, the environment is warm, clean, and inviting. I am so impressed with this place! And of course the owner is so personable. Fantastic place to eat with fantastic service!
We waited on a Saturday mid morning for 35+ minutes for a menu and finally got up and got them ourselves, 5 in our party. The food took another 40+ minutes, may have been more. My hash browns were not cooked, not browned and the Arkadelphia omelette was fine, but prefer the veggies sauteed a minute or two first and the one slice of toast wasn't toasted/brown either. But prices were good and we love love the old charming home environment. The staff was very very sweet but...
I ran an errand to Arkadelphia and searched google for good mom n pop restaurant .Matty's was rated 5 stars, and it earned them! The restaurant is a converted Craftsman home, and the hardwood floors and woodwork give great ambiance. I had the pork ribeye steak special, with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans, and it was amazing! If you need a good excuse to go to Arkadelphia, Matty's is it! I look forward to my next trip to Matty's!
