Wonderful food but owners appear to not be interested in customers; one waitress is particularly unfriendly, loud and embarrassing to deal with. We have noticed a change for the worse in recent months and no longer recommend.

Delicious hot corned beef and pastrami. The only thing I can think of that I would have also enjoyed, had it been offered as a option, would be some sauerkraut. The coleslaw was alright, but I say that about anyone's coleslaw I have tasted. I always think my coleslaw tastes better. It was good.

Today was our first time trying Jose's, even though we've lived close by for 10 years.I had the flautas.They were flavorless and the refried beans had an off flavor.She had the hamburger steak. It was spongey and flavorless.The locals rave about Jose's, and it's usually very busy on Sundays, propping up what's left of Atkins' crumbling "historic" downtown, but I can't imagine why. The building is falling apart, the roof leaks, the food is just meh...I doubt we'll be back to try anything else from their menu.

We were in town for the solar eclipse. We ordered two cheese burgers early in the morning to go, and told them we wouldn't be eating them for while. They packed our order up with the meat separate from the buns and everything else so that everything wouldn't get soggy. At our request, they also substituted chips for the fries, because we didn't think that hours old fries would taste good. Very accommodating.
