The "Bulldog Restaurant" in Bald Knob,AR. is an institution! A must stop for great food: Burgers, Catfish, Homemade Pie.........many other options! I have been stopping there for years on my way to or from Little Rock.
TL;DR: Cheap good food including a killer chocolate malt.
We were on the way through from Little Rock and after hearing that we needed to try this place, we did.
I had the chicken strips plate and the chicken was good. Thin, crispy, flavorful. My wife enjoyed the catfish. And we both absolutely loved the battered fries. Our only complaint was that the slaw was subpar and the hush puppies were meh.
But it would be insulting...

Great customer service!! I asked if they had any birthday candles to stick in my dads milkshake…. No candles, but the staff went one step further & performed an interpretive dance for him to the tune of “happy birthday”…it made our night!!!! We have been stopping at the bulldog for years whenever we pass through & they are always the best!
