Food is out of this world great, service was fantastic, atmosphere was friendly and busy! My husband and I had the steak, and took a thin crust meat lovers pizza home for the next day! Highly recommend, you'll leave stuffed with food to take home for your puppy ?

We usually have a great experience here, BUT this time it was AWFUL!! Let me clarify, the food was good, but the service was awful! There were eight people in the back. No one was helping the one waitress in the front. Mistake number one! One waitress was working seven tables. We got to Ropers at 4:05 PM. The waitress took our drink order, and our other party of two came shortly thereafter. We had five people in our party. We had very simple orders: chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, with white gravy, green beans, side, salads, and a pizza with mushrooms. It took over 20 minutes for her to take her order and over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. We Tried to get her attention, but every time she looked at us, she would turn around and walked away. Thankfully, the food was hot and good. The waitress did not check on us. She delivered the food and the ticket. No refills on drinks. She did not check if we were satisfied with the food: thankfully, we were. I asked for a box for the rest of my pizza. She brought the box over and said, "I am busy I have things to do." She turned around and walked off. My husband looked at me and said this will be the last time you ever come back. we are very nice people. We are church going people; more over, a lot of the clientele that come to Ropers are from our church. we have never had a problem with Ropers before. No one that I know of, from our church, has ever had a problem with Ropers. However, today was a day that needed to be yelped. We will not be back.

NO VEGETARIAN OPTIONS.This restaurant is probably well suited to its location. Pizzas, sandwiches on white hoagie buns, hamburgers, and steaks. My mom loves it. I had a hard time finding anything to order; I wanted something healthy. Settled on the veggie plate with steamed broccoli, pinto beans, and green beans. It came with a slice of texas toast. Both bean dishes had so much bacon, I couldn't eat them.If you are passing through and want something healthy or vegetarian, skip this place.

Best local joint for steak, chicken, pizza, salads. We love it! Favorite is the pepperoni and the Round-up pizza.
Food is a little pricey for what it is, but it works in a pinch. Not bad, but not stellar. Very middle of the road.

I just went to Ropers for the first time and it was an absolutely marvelous experience! The food was delicious, the waitress was amazing and the overall atmosphere was simply fantastic. I look forward to going again sometime.

Easiest thing to cook is fries, ice cold, Texas toast, ice cold. At least the gravy on my cold country fried steak was warm. I've been coming here for years. Today might have changed that.
