I am very surprised to read 1-star reviews about Blu Fish Market. I have been there twice, and I had a great experience regarding food and service both times. About a month ago, I went there to buy sushi-grade fish. I got yellowtail, tuna, and salmon. The fishmonger was polite and knowledgeable, and the fish was superb. Last Friday, we went there again, to eat lunch and again buy sushi-grade fish. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., and the restaurant part of the store closes at 2. We were not rushed at all, and we had great service. Moreover, our lunch was excellent. We had sushi and nigiri, a cup of miso and a cup of crab bisque. It was all so very delicious. The sushi and nigiri were spectacular. Their sushi chef knows what he's doing. I bought the same sushi-grade fish to bring home, and it was spectacular. I am so glad to have a place like this here in NWA!

The calamari was a bit chewy. They added some fried sweet potatoes and another fried veggie in the mix which made it better. The shrimp tacos were very good but had a sweat thick sauce coating which i wasn't fond of but that was my fault I should have ask more about it since it was the special. The price was a bit high for lunch. The prices are on the menu but not on the special's board. Again I should have ask how much the special was. Server was great. He was on que and professional. I drank water and without tip lunch was $38.68. I'll attach a pic so you can decide.

This is my favorite restaurant for lunch/dinner. I love the super fresh seafood. Expertly and artfully crafted sushi rolls. Awesome outdoor eating experience and bicycle parking accommodations!

Sushi rolls were fresh and full of flavor. A little pricey but for the quality, it was worth it. The lobster ravioli was also legit. The Blu Mojito and Bloody Mary were incredible. Highly recommend for the quality and freshness. Service was excellent

Decided to try for the first time. Wanted to go to blu DTR but they were remodeling so we assumed this would be similar food. Had reservations at 6:30 and we got our table right away. Good start. Our server was friendly. Still positive. Kind of went downhill from there. Ordered garlic edamame while we looked at the menu. I can’t tell you how it was because we got the sea salt edamame delivered to us. Not a real big deal. Ordered 3 rolls and gluten free chicken Alfredo. Also ordered a drink that we didn’t like but were never asked about why it was still full an hour later. The real question is why were we there for an hour when we only ordered rolls and pasta. Well…the menu stated gluten free pasta took 10 extra minutes. Again, no big deal. After about 10 minutes our server came out and said they don’t have gluten free pasta. Probably should have told us that much sooner. Why is it on the menu then? Just after telling us this our three rolls were delivered. Our daughter decides to get a California roll since there’s no pasta. I would think after realizing the screw up that someone would push that roll to the front of the line to try and get it out as soon as possible. Wrong. The 3 of us eat and we probably wait another 15 minutes before the California roll came out. The soy sauce we asked for finally came out after the food was all gone. Our waters were finally refilled for the first time after our food was gone. I know our server was busy but things should have been handled better especially when the bill came out to close to $100. If anyone thinks they may want to try sushi here I’d recommend skipping blu and going to sushi house. Better prices, better food, and better service. All in all this was a disappointing birthday dinner.

Only good thing was our reservation was honored right away. Ordered an appetizer but got the wrong one. Then ordered 3 sushi rolls and gluten free pasta. Menu said gluten free pasta takes 10 minutes longer to prepare. After 10 minutes our server told us they don't have gluten free pasta. Why's it on the menu then? The 3 rolls come out right after that so we have to order another roll for my daughter to make up for no pasta. Instead of that roll being pushed to the front of the line due to restaurant error we have to wait 15-20 more minutes before her roll comes out. Soy sauce we asked for wasn't brought out until the last roll was almost finished. Our water was finally refilled for the first time after all food was gone. I think our server finally understood our frustration but didn't try to do anything to make the experience better. An hour and almost $100 later to eat 4 mediocre rolls. Not worth it. Go to sushi house instead.

Looking at everyone's dishes, they were all fresh and pretty delicious. I personally had the Hawaiian Bowl and wished it had had more greens or slaw (and less rice). It did have seaweed salad in it, which was a win. Overall:, very good with the tuna in it.
