Hawaiian Bros Island Grill

I love this place and hate to give it 2 stars, but I believe an employee was under the influence of something and multiple times they don't take off their gloves when handling your credit card or to-go bag and when you get it back it is covered in sauce.

It is absolutely disgusting getting your credit card handed back with sauce all over it or carrying your bag and getting your hands all sticky because the employees cant take 2 seconds to take their gloves off. This has happened multiple times at multiple Hawiian Bro locations.

Also I believe the girl working there was under the influence of something strong. When I went inside and asked her about something to clean the sauce of the card she just walked away and mumbled and was acting really weird. I dont think it was just her personality. Then I asked her again and she said it wasn't her problem and to just use a napkin, so I asked if she could get someone else, she then said they're all busy. This entire time she never made eye contact with me, mumbled, had her head down, acting really strage and refused to tell me her name. Once I got to talk to someone else they happily got a rag with warm water to clean off the sauce on my credit card and apologized for the other employees behavior.

I have never had such a poor experience with hawiian bros. Most of the employees that work there are awesome. If these two things can change I would happily give them 5 stars.

Our go to lunch. Get a mixed plate, you can’t go wrong. Chicken is so tender and sauced. Bradley was so helpful and gave great service.

Didn’t want to have to write this review because I gave them the opportunity to confess their issue but they decided to lie lol. Found a hair in my so I called and simply said “hey does anyone have red hair in your establishment?” They obviously asked why so then I said “I got food here and there is a long red hair in my food I was wondering if it was from the restaurant or from the person who picked up my food” I was basically giving them options to see what they pick. (The person who picked it up was my mom who has black locs and my dad who is bald). They proceeded to put me on hold and then I think I was on the phone with the manager at this point and she said there is no one who works there that has red hair and I laughed and said okay. So I guess they will lie about something they did to your food I guess so keep that in consideration lol.

This location is way out of my area, and the food, service, and atmosphere was just as excellent as my regular location.
As a former restaurant manager of 15+ years, being able to replicate excellence at multiple locations is a challenge, and THANK YOU Hawaiian Bros for being a comfortable place to land with the same fresh delicious food and great service at every stop.

Both visits in the last week I have ordered a Large plate (x2 meat option) and both times I have grabbed my food, left, and when I get back to my job there is only one meat. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS, but at this point I’ve paid for two meats twice and only been given the one. Be very cautious and check your to-go orders. I hope it’s just me, but you need to make sure you’re getting what you pay for.

Looks like it could be a great place.... Dont understand why they leave the door open at 2pm on a Monday and have nobody there to take an order.... pretty sure I couldda walked out with the cash register if I wanted...
