Markham & Fitz Chocolate

Spectacular! We loved the visit, the hot chocolate & chocolate mouse! We had to take some to go too and a few chocolate bars for our friends. Atmosphere was very nice, staff was very kind and considerate and the chocolate taste heavenly :). I think it's women owned small local business, so that's yet another reason to visit and indulge yourself in the amazing delicacy of their products.

Horrible expresso coffee. Very bad costumer service

Absolutely adored this charming and delicious chocolate shop when I visited Bentonville. So much so that I ordered $75 worth of caramels for Christmas gifts. Ordered on Dec 5. Didn’t ship til Dec 13. Didn’t arrive til Dec 20th. I live 3 hrs away in KC. Imagine my surprise when one of the boxes is marked as expiring Dec 22, 2 days from now and BEFORE Christmas. I called and they said bc they were frozen, the actual life is another month out. I’m not giving a gift for Christmas that will be labeled expired! Their solution, peel off the label. WTH not great customer service. Also, gift box was dirty. Larger box didn’t have paper covering the caramels that was big enough so they used scrap pieces and salt fell off of caramels. No plastic wrap for freshness. Never again.

Update: since I refuse to gift an expiring product I decided to enjoy one before they expire. Carmel filling was grainy and not at all like the one I had in store. Ugh

Service was great! The sitting area was cozy. We tried the chocolate martini, chocolate layer cake, and salted caramel chocolate tart. The martini was strong! But we couldn't taste the chocolate. The cake's frosting was really good, but the cake was a little dry. The tart was fantastic! I think next time I'll try the individual chocolates and chocolate bar. A lot of people were getting the chocolate mousse, so we may try that next time too. All in all, it was fun and worth a visit!

Whenever I am traveling, I always research the best chocolate shop at my destination. I was more than a little bit surprised to find a bean to bar chocolate maker in Bentonville. We walked over to the shop prior to our dinner reservation on Thursday evening and I immediately fell in love. The store was super cute and the chocolate selection was extensive. Bee let us know that the majority of the chocolates are gluten free, walked us through our flavor options and let us taste some of the chocolate bars. Everything we tried was smooth and delicious but in the end we purchased the souther pecan bar, harvest party bar and peppermint pretzel bar along with a box of truffles. All of the truffles were amazing but I highly recommend the coconut, pistachio and mocha truffles. As someone who considers themselves a chocolate connoisseur, I was really very impressed!

Dietary restrictions: Incredibly accommodating for people with dietary restrictions. My friend’s daughter has celiac disease and she was delighted to be able to bring home some safe chocolate treats for her.

Had a great experience here! Nothing to complain about just flavors weren’t really hitting for us but you should absolutely try it! We had the raspberry chocolate tart. We felt the raspberry really overpowers the chocolate so we couldn’t really enjoy the chocolate part. We also had the mocha truffles that were fantastic! The overal vibe of the place was hopping and expect people to be there!

Friendly staff + helpful.
We had the handcrafted chocolates in the showcase. Hint of raspberry flavor in the caramels. Hint of sea salt in the other caramels.
