We tried mezzaluna pasteria in downtown bentonville recently, and it was fabulous. The atmosphere, decor, handmade pasta & service were all exemplary. We opted for the duck liver patè & grilled octopus appetizers, short rib ravioli + coho salmon bucatini for the main course plus a berry mule with arkansas made delta dirt distillery sweet potato vodka to wash it all down. And, who can pass up affogato with gelato made in house. 14/11 chefs 💋

Let me tell you about the clam chowder, life changing. The service was impeccable while still being fun and friendly. This is the gem in Bentonville’s crown.

Dietary restrictions: The gnocchi is delicious and fully vegetarian.
The chef flash fries, sage into the round butter; it will blow your mind.

Since the owner, Amy, revised her post to sound less like a crazy person I will also revise mine.
The Facts Are:
1. my reservation was for outside at 8:00 PM. I called every day for 2 weeks until I finally got someone on the phone.
2. The employee that I spoke with changed my reservation to 7:30 at the bar/inside due to it being 45 degrees outside. Let me mention that you should not offer outside seating online if you don't have heaters or an enclosure. Or at least have a back up plan.
3. When we arrived at 7:30 there were no seats at the bar. The girl that I spoke with even vocalized that she reserved us 2 seats at the bar and placed a reserved sign but people sat there anyway.
4. The young employees said, "there's nothing we can do, I will not ask them to get up."
5. This is when I asked to speak to the manager. She stormed up to me, did not listen to a word a had to say, yelled at me and my husband on his birthday and then kicked us out.
6. The only person with poor behavior and the only person that made a scene was you, Amy.
7. I have never been treated so poorly, yelled at, harassed and bullied to this extent. I have never been kicked out of any establishment in my life.
8. I have never been to such a horribly managed restaurant.
9. All I would have liked was for you to acknowledge that your staff changed my reservation to inside and then did not honor that reservation. But you were so aggressive and mean that you didn't even take the time to listen to your customer. I should have received an apology. I would have happily waited for a seat at the bar if the owner and staff would have managed the situation more appropriately.
10. Do not eat here.

Our favorite new restaurant in Bentonville! The food is outstanding. Ravioli di Manzo is delicious. Great gluten free options as well. Highly recommend!!

This was a wonderful experience for my birthday dinner! Our waitress BB was very friendly and attentive (cannot thank her enough for recommending the candy cap mushroom gelato- trust me, it tastes like maple!). The olive tapenade was fresh and even a little sweet (I’m not usually an olive fan) and the focaccia was warm a squishy. My husband got the braised beef ravioli and I got the butternut squash ravioli- both were delicious and were a good portion size for a fancy restaurant. We had affogato and gelato for dessert. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area for an authentic, upscale Italian experience.

Mezzaluna is a gem! I’ve been numerous times now and the vibes are so great! The atmosphere is on point, the food is absolutely incredible, and the service is separated from the rest of Bentonville. Another level! Every box is checked and I’ll be back over and over. Go now!

Four of us had dinner here last night. Our server, Viva, was phenomenal. She guided us through the menu, made recommendations, and made time to visit with us and make us feel welcomed in the restaurant. Each pasta dish was unique and delicious, and save room for the house made gelato at the end of the meal. All the staff here is top notch, and the food is incredible. Thanks, we will be back!

The whole experience, from start to finish, was a pleasure. We sat at the chef's counter; engaging with the chef, and watching the process was delightful. Theo, our server, was also wonderful, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our tastes. The meal itself was outstanding! We ate as much as we could and then ate some more. We are beyond excited to see restaurants of this quality and caliber in Bentonville and have already set our next reservation.

We were disappointed to wait 45 minutes for our table, even with a reservation. While the complimentary Prosecco was a nice gesture, it didn’t fully make up for the delay. Our waitress was very friendly and engaging, which we appreciated, but she forgot to ask about food allergies—a significant oversight since my partner has a severe almond allergy. Unfortunately, the octopus dish was served with romesco sauce, which contains almonds, creating a serious concern for us.

The food overall was good, but not exceptional. Given the combination of service missteps and the wait time, we’re hopeful these issues will improve with time. We’ll likely give the restaurant another chance in a few months to see if the staff and operations have gotten better.

We absolutely enjoyed everything about dinner here. From the pate’ to the affogato. The gnocchi were crispy but soft pillows and the carbonara was perfect. Chefs counter was great and staff was all super friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try the clam chowder!
