I travel for work both domestic and internationally and have been to numerous so called “high-end” restaurants. This comes in as one of my top 3 restaurants. Great food, not an overwhelming wine list and unique space. I hope to revisit here when I’m back in Arkansas.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Preacher’s Son for dinner to treat myself while I am in town. From the moment I walked in, the experience was truly memorable. Wes, the host, greeted me warmly and shared the story of the building—how it was once a church for many years before later being transformed into a unique three-part setting: a speakeasy below, a balcony bar above, and the main restaurant in between. Walking into the church-turned-restaurant was breathtaking, with every detail of the architecture adding to the charm.
My server, Fiva, recommended dishes that weren’t necessarily the most popular on the menu, but the flavors said otherwise. The Tartare for the appetizer and Duck breast for the entree were simply outstanding—each bite felt like that magical “Ratatouille” moment of instantly falling in love with a meal. I enjoyed a moscato for dessert and that filled me up.
The atmosphere was just as impressive as the food. The staff worked seamlessly together, creating a smooth and welcoming dining experience. The portions were perfectly sized—enough to satisfy without being overwhelming—and the pricing felt very reasonable for the quality. I also appreciated the thoughtful details, like fans set up outside to keep flies away and the comfortable spacing between tables.
One of the highlights is that the menu changes often, which makes me excited to come back and discover new flavors. This time, I only dined in the restaurant, but I’m already looking forward to exploring the speakeasy downstairs and the balcony bar upstairs on my next visit.
Overall, The Preacher’s Son is more than just dinner—it’s an experience I’ll happily return again.

First time visitor to Bentonville and Preachers Son. Tess was our server and she was awesome! Food, we had the Apricot Burrata, was the perfection! We also had the lamb, chicken, duck and salmon. Everyone was thrilled with their entree. One of the best service and food I have had. Thank you!

This place was great. The food was delicious, and the speakeasy downstairs while we waited for our reservation was awesome. The only two downsides are that parties of 8 or more are on a pre-fixed menu, and the dinner service took 2.5 hours. Way too long to be offering 8pm or later reservations.

Not cheap. But always great. The atmosphere here isn't always exciting, but the food and drink maker up for it.

This was my fiancées and I date night and we didn’t know what the menu looked like to keep it a surprise. Once we were sat down our waiter Viva came over and explained the food options and gave us recommendations. Literally everything she recommended was absolutely perfect, hands down my top 3 favorite restaurant ever. Viva thank you so much, you’re an angel!

We ordered the fried mushrooms appetizer which was delicious! I had the mussels and I loved the taste and the bread was tasty. My husband ordered the steak and ordered it medium rare. It came medium well which was hugely disappointing! The cut of steak didn’t even taste high quality. For a $60 price the steak should have been excellent. We could have made it at home. Also the table was so small that we had to put some of the items like the candle and water on the window sill.

We celebrated our anniversary at The Preacher’s Son and it was nothing short of perfect. I had emailed ahead to request a few personal touches, and the team went above and beyond—flowers on the table, a thoughtful card, and our wine pre-chilled and ready. Every staff member wished us a happy anniversary, and the kitchen surprised us with samples of two appetizers in addition to the one we ordered.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was flawless from start to finish. After dinner, they even kept the rooftop bar open late so we could enjoy a final drink together.
It was an amazing, memorable evening that far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion—or just if you want to be reminded how great hospitality can be.
