Made a last minute decision to go out for dinner. River Grill is in our neighborhood and we have dined there many times. We arrived at 520p. Early for dinner the lot was not full and we got a spot right in front. The staff who greeted us spent several minutes talking about tables and finally said they had nothing at this time. They could help,us later in the evening. We left and went to another spot for a fine meal. We won’t return to River Grill.
While the food was delicious, the service did not match the quality of the food. The wait time was unacceptable, nearly 45 minutes. We were not offered the complimentary bread, one member of our party received their salad and 30 minutes later the steak was served. At this time, another member received their steak and potato, while the 2 remaining members waited another 20ish minutes for our salads. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! We had a wonderful experience from the moment we booked our reservation over the phone with Lindsay. Staff was friendly and inviting. Our server Leland was absolutely wonderful and made our evening amazing. Everything was perfection, from the cocktails to entrees to dessert. The chef really has a good thing going here.
