We showed up on Saturday looking forward to breakfast to find only a lunch menu available, with few patrons and no one at the hostess stand. They were out of soda options, the music was light jazz and felt old. It was awkward to say the least and sad because in the past we have had much better experiences and this place is completely missing the mark. It felt like an outdated and uncomfortable experience.

Kinda of disappointed in the smoked meat because it was very dry. The deviled eggs, however, were delicious.

Went to brunch at 10:05 am on a Sunday. We recieved our drinks at 11:15. We were one of the first people in the restaurant & in before it got busy. We also never received our hot sauce we asked for. We really were excited to try this place, but was disappointed it took an hour to get two cocktails. There were many many workers present as well.

Combining food, service, and atmosphere is an average of 3.5 stars. There are some areas for improvement for an upscale yet casual dining level. I'm sure that depends on their staff turnover and/or shortages. The management quietly and quickly fixed issues; I appreciated their discretion not to upset the rest of our visit. We ordered white, red, and dessert wines, an appetizer, soup, salad, 2 steak entrees, and 2 desserts. The soup and salad were the favorites of everything. If I go back, I will most likely try lunchtime and probably try another salad. I was impressed with the freshness of the ingredients.

My husband and I had a reservation for 4:00pm, which upon arrival 15 minutes early, we realized we didn’t need as there were only three other parties seated in the entire place. We were seated immediately by a very friendly hostess, but then waited about 10-15 minutes without any other assistance. No one brought water or asked if we’d been waited on. We watched a waiter clear a table and reset it and then go ask the table next to us if they were ready to tab out before we finally decided to leave. Once leaving, a different hostess did ask us if we had been waited on in which we responded no we had not and left to go else where. Really disappointed in the wait staff and lack of awareness.

Not a great experience.
Draft beer tasted spoiled like it had been sitting in the line too long. So just had a bottled beer. The steak was cooked good, and tasty. But it was cold. I think our 40 minute wait for food meant they had completed the cooking but left it at the pass for a waiter to pick up and serve too long.

After sitting at our table for over 10 minutes, and about to walk out, a waiter hurried over and asked us if we were ready to order. The waiter never introduced himself as our server and never offered to take a drink order. We Gabe him our order and he just walked away. He came by in a few minutes and dropped off a plate of rolls. No dialogue at all.
Our order finally arrived. The Onion Soup was good but the Portabella mushrooms were under cooked as were the Roasted Potatoes. The Zucchini was way over cooked, a!most to mush. The Baby Back ribs were so so, and the Baked Beans had no flavor.
We were never offered a dessert option either. The server just dropped a check on our table and there again, there was no thank you, or did you enjoy your meal, or even hope you come back.
It was a very u enjoyable experience. It did seem that the table of 25 or so were getting a lot of service. We won't be coming back and I won't be recommending this restaurant to my friends.

So... I LOVE a good brunch so I was pretty hyped up about going to this place after reading ALL the great reviews! I am just going to be honest.. maybe a bunch of regulars reviewed this place because the brunch is just mediocre!

Excellent! Spoke with Susan in events and I reserved the cabin area for my wedding and lunch on 1//25/25. My 1st time ever eating at their establishment, and was very impressed. They have very professional and polite staff, in a beautiful setting, food was soo good and our server/bartender Tyler was outstanding and was great with helping family out that had dietary restrictions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great place to dine in Bentonville, that has amazing food and outstanding staff. Would give 10+ stars if I could. Will definitely go back next time I am in the area.

My first time eating there in almost 20 years. The prime rib had good flavor and the drinks were on point. However the service was lacking. There was a lot of time between visits from our waitress. There was a weird encounter from someone who seemed to be a guest, but maybe worked there. She got up from her table to clear the plates from our table without saying a word. For the price, you would think the service would be more attentive.

We had the shared barbecue for two. The ribs were good. The pork was a bit fatty for my taste. Also I didn't care for the beans. Others at the table had steak which they said was quite good.
I guess I was expecting a better experience for the price.

Kid-friendliness: Not really a place to bring small children in my opinion.

Went today for the 1st and last time. We went for brunch and my mom ordered the hickory plate. The only ok thing was the eggs. The toast was cold-they gave us a cup of ketchup instead of jelly, the bacon was black-too burned to eat, and the “breakfast potatoes” consisted of ONE potato wedge that was raw on the inside. When the waiter finally came back to check on us, we told him about the issues. He did offer to get more bacon but by that time we were just ready to leave. Yeah, bring hot bacon to eat with the rest of my cold food. I ordered a burger and “baked beans”. The burger was ok but the beans were no where near baked beans. They were just pork and beans with everything except barbecue sauce. The first bite treated me to a huge chunk of mushy fat so that ended quickly. I’m not gonna lie…I miss Freds! I know it’s a different restaurant…blah, blah, blah, but at the high prices you charge I should be able to expect better food and not clueless service.

Chicken lips bowl, chicken was crunchy but not much seasoning and “sauce” was reminiscent of ketchup and topped a bowl of plain brown rice with a sprinkle of Napa cabbage. Stick to appetizers and French onion soup.

In the last 18 months, we have had a surprise engagement party and a rehearsal dinner in the private room at Table at the Hickory Inn. Susan Kennedy and her staff have done a wonderful job for both our events. The setting is lovely, atmosphere so quaint and the food and service have been fabulous. Will always be our choice for family celebrations!
