The Buttered Biscuit

It is hard to find a place that makes their own food anymore. They have homemade jams, butters, biscuits! Everything was made from scratch and absolutely delicious. The staff was wonderful. I can’t wait to come back.

This was my first visit. Variety of items to choose from on the menu. The food was delicious and the service was great! Wanted to give a shout out to my server from Alabama.... GREAT SERVICE!!!!

Pancakes came out mushy, not cooked at all. Gave us a 2 dollar discount on 13 dollar pancakes.. the rest of the food had no flavor. Service was terrible. Was warned to not go, will never go back for sure. Who gives a 10% discount on undercooked pancakes? They were literally uncooked dough. So gross.

Wow! Second location I've gone to, both were great! Love the housemade sausage in a biscuit with the mustard. It only put me in a mild food coma, which is a good thing! Had it been the weekend I would have gone for the biscuits and gravy, driven straight home and taken a nap! Even the side greens were delicious and very fresh. Had the raspberry vinegarette=yum! Pretty sure that was made in house also. Great service, cute decor, great family place.

We found The Buttered Biscuit while driving through on a road trip. There are a lot of gluten free options, which is what stood out. Atmosphere was also very nice and everyone was friendly, including our waitress. The only reason I was unable to give the full 5 stars was we were not told about the up-charge on each gluten free item. I ordered a $8.99 basket of 3 biscuits and was surcharged $6 dollars… I would NOT have purchased these knowing they would net out to be $5 each. I also ordered the gluten free spicy chicken and waffles, which was good as well. The chicken was definitely not spicy and overall could have used some more seasoning on the chicken or in the batter, it was bland and the breading did not stay on very well. I do feel like if the chicken was spicy or seasoned at all it would have been a 10/10. - I was also charged $4.00 that total plate to $18.50, at that price point for a meal I want it to be as advertised with flavor. I will say, my husband did get the same plate and the regular gluten plate also was not spicy or had flavor in the batter. My biggest complaint is not being told that we would have an extra $10 charges to our bill. I think people should be told that when ordering so we can plan accordingly.

The service was great. We are not from AR and had used the check in service online.. then arrived at the wrong location. The manager was helpful to explain the mix up. Right as we arrived at the right location (we choose to go as the wait time was high) we got the message we had been removed from the list. However when I explain, the host was quick to clean a table. The service never disappointed. Staff was working well as a team and helpful. The food… was the reason for the wait times. It was amazing all around. The gravy was flavorful, but somehow wasn’t overly filling. The pimento cheese was something that will be in my dreams! 100/10 would go back again!

The atmosphere is fantastic, very clean and inviting. The decorations are nicely done. The food was good, my only complaint is the avocado spread had way too much citrus in it. It tasted like the premade kind you purchase from the store. The biscuits are so fresh and delicious.
