Extremely rude woman working the counter

Stopped in around 30 minutes ago with a good friend of mine, and the elderly lady working the register had an issue with us for some reason. She was eyeing us the entire time we were in line, and by the time we got up to the counter we didn’t get a hello, a hi, or let alone our total announced to us. She gave us dirty looks and waited for the total to pop up on the card machine and then alluded for us to pay by nodding her head towards the pin pad. Noticing we were confused, she mumbled our total to us and we paid. After I finished paying she didn’t say goodbye or tell us to have a good day or anything of the sorts, just continued to serve the people behind us in line with the largest smile she could put on her face. I had yet to receive the root beer I ordered in addition to the ice cream so once she finished her overly friendly interaction with the customers behind us I reminded her I ordered one. She snapped back and said “I’ll get it in a minute”, but the cooler where the rootbeer was stored (in bottles) was maybe 4 feet behind her to her left. She then served two more groups (also very politely, greeting them with a hello and always with a thank you/have a good day) before hiding the rootbeer awkwardly behind the cash drawer. I was looking at her to see if I was okay to grab the bottle (because I had already paid for it) and she let it set there and pointed at it as if I were the one that was supposed to grab it from in front of her. I have no clue why we were treated differently than the rest of the line, maybe because we’re young? The ice cream was decent but it’s so sad to see how poorly misbehaved and impolite a woman of her age was, especially working in customer service. Not sure of her name but she was very old, possible early 80’s. Very large, poorly fitting dentures.

Great place to grab a snack. We stopped in for ice cream to eat while enjoying a summer night on the square. Good prices and good to eat.

Three of us went into the shop for a cone. It was empty except for one table, already eating, and only one couple was ahead of us, paying at the register. The cashier very rudely told us we needed to go to the left of them and get in line. Okay. So, we moved 4' to the left of them..... There were 3 people behind the counter. We stood there about 3 minutes and finally had to ask if we could put our order in. The cranky cashier sighed and said Fine, and called to one of the other people "They want something". She seemed surprised that there were people in the shop. We each ordered a single scoop sugar cone. When I went to pay, I commented that my cone had a very small scoop, whereas the other two cones were piled twice as high with giant scoops. We had all ordered the same thing. We showed them the 3 cones side by side, and mine was literally half the size. I commented that I got way less, and the response was "Well, two different people did the scooping." Whaat? I said again that it was really unfair. They just shrugged their shoulders. Absolutely no one else was in line, and none of the 3 clerks found it necessary to make it right. I told them that was a really crappy way to treat people. I wish we'd never gone in there, and for sure I'll never return. I'll tell everyone I talk to that they need to avoid the rude people in the ice cream shop. Go elsewhere. The ice cream itself was ok, but not worth the rudeness and uncaring attitude of the personnel.

This place has the best ice cream that I have tasted in quite a while. My favorite flavor is butter pecan. One scoop in a waffle cone was huge and only $1.89. You can't beat the price and the quality. You can get a one dip sundae with coolwhip, cherry and the works for $3.30. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do that because by the time we got done mountain biking on Sunday the cafe had already closed. Definitely will get a sundae the next time.

Today we visited once more the Spark cafe. After waiting in line over 20 minutes, my autistic son decided to walk out. So I had to go and get him, and when I came back, I’ve lost ply place in line. But the kindness of people showed up and let me come to the front door of the line. Then, the employee checking us out, offered me the ice cream for free. That was a phenomenal example of kindness and customer service!

The Spark Cafe in Bentonville, AR, attached to the Walmart Museum 5&10, has reopened after a lengthy restoration of both. Unfortunately it has lost its spark. Only serving ice cream now, also gone is the charming atmosphere of an old time dinner that matched the era of the 5&10. Upon reopening it looks like a generic fast food restaurant — very disappointing. There isn’t handicapped parking for several blocks, and until construction in The Square is finished the sidewalks aren’t fully wheelchair accessible. The ice cream is still good at an excellent price. Wait times were extremely long when they first reopened, and still are on the weekends as there is less seating outside. Wait times are more reasonable on weekdays.

I loved this place! It is the last stop of the Walmart museum but you can also enter from the street.

They have many ice cream flavors, my top ones were F-150 (red velvet) and salted caramel. You can choose from different cone and cup size and they have a tiny cone for kids, that’s cute! The prices were a surprise for me, I paid $1.30 for the single.

The place has a great atmosphere, a vintage dinner.

Amazing ice cream, prices out of this world, waited in a line outside but it was well worth. Will do it again in a minute. Adjoins the sam walton museum. Worth a couple hours to go to museum and have ice cream too.

This is a fun stop if you’re looking for an incredible ice cream value. In my experience, two people can eat here for the price of one, in comparison to other ice cream parlors. I know that it reopened after renovations not too terribly long ago; I wish that I could have seen it when it favored a soda fountain, honestly. I do appreciate that they don’t have a lot of menu offerings, as that keeps the line moving. If there’s no room inside and the weather is favorable, the square makes a picturesque dining venue.
