I tried the Mean Pig a few days ago and was really really disappointed. For $22. I got ribs , beans and coleslaw. The ribs had good flavor the smokiness the BBQ sauce all good. But the ribs looked 3 days old and were lukewarm and dry. The beans came in a tiny 5 spoon full cup and were very good tasting. The coleslaw was a big zero , I think they forgot to finish it lol All the bells and whistles of a great restaurant, but missing the love in the food big time.

Best BBQ around! Everything on their menu is excellent!!

Nice little restaurant with some of the grossest food I've ever had the misfortune of tasting. Workers are nice, service fast, the food is just bad. I got the frito pie- the pork tastes like the cans of chewing jerky by Jack Links, almost exact actually. Very similar texture as well. If you like those you'd like it. Very dry and salty.

So it's a cute, clean, little place with lots of personality. Great barbecue, the sauce was really good but both of my sides were not up to par. Potato salad tasted more like pickle salad. The mac and cheese which online said was smoked seemed like something packaged and not authentic. Over ok place to grab a meal and they offer baked potatoes but I guess you now have to call in advance to order. If I do stop by here in the future I will only grab the meat and go.

Absolutely the best food anywhere. This place needs a Michelin star. If I could I would eat there everyday.

I got to go to The Mean Pig BBQ today for lunch. I told the story that I had to wait 10 years to try their food because the few times I'd been in Arkansas previously, they were sold out before I got there and closed up shop.

So, I heard for (more than) 10 years from my wife and in-laws about how amazing The Mean Pig was but until recently didn't get to try it for myself.

#1: the service is awesome! Great people, super friendly and they clearly work well as a team
#2: the food - top notch BBQ, one of the best I've tasted.
#3: they are getting ready to launch a new sandwich - a sourdough brisket grilled cheese - homemade sourdough with their phenomenal brisket, sweet BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese and pickles. If you didn't have a reason to go there, you do now!

I have a new favorite sandwich!

Why is there no picture accompanying this rave review? Because I ate it before I thought to even take a picture.

I think it's formally going on the menu soon and you're gonna want to get one!

Friendly service, delicious BBQ, good prices, and generous helpings! I misunderstood what I ordered and they were kind enough to make a new order for me. We will definitely be back!

Idk what happened to this place, but the food has gone way downhill. Out of several things I tried to order and the food was cold and old.

Came for lunch on 10/2/2024 ordered the small meat plate with pork and sliced brisket. Meat was old and dry. Didn’t even taste like smoked meat. My daughter ordered a small meat plate also but she had pork and chicken. It was all dry and seemed old. Not good!

My go to barbecue place in Cabot.
Usually go every week. Excellent hot sauce without putting your mouth on fire. Now the shut-up-juice is another story, very, very hot. Try it if you dare. Also very good beans.

This was a 2nd chance I gave Mean Pig getting the exact same dish as my first, the 2 meat platter consisting of ribs, sausage, baked beans, and potato salad. Unfortunately had the same let down at the first time. The sausage portion was good but in my opinion was on the tougher dry side. The ribs, I mean there was barely anything there... the portion was super small for 3 bones and it was definitely on the dry side. I feel for the price the quantity/size was lacking and taste was meh. The highlights of my experience was the food was ready within 10 minutes of calling it in, the waitress working the drive through was great. Unfortunately given this was a 2nd disappointing visit, I can't recommend Mean Pig.

Last 2 times we ate half rack of ribs with pretty much the same out come. Ribs were cooked to fast and hot leaving them burnt on the ends and edges. Cold slaw was not cold but dry. Things have changed!!
