I recently had the pleasure of going to Whispering Woods Bar & Grill, and it was quite possibly one of the best meals I've had in a while. The view was simply amazing β€” the kind that you stop and just look at. Whether you're sitting inside by the big windows or outside on the patio, you have this peaceful, scenic view that's just perfectly aligned with the restaurant's name.

I ordered the filet mignon, and it was done perfectly β€” tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. Just melted in my mouth with each bite, and the sides that it came with were just as flavorful. You can tell they pride themselves on the food here.

The atmosphere was also wonderful β€” dim lighting, cozy seating, and the ideal mix of lively and mellow. It was upscale but not pretentious. Overall, it's a wonderful spot for a nice evening out, whether for date night or as a special treat for yourself. Highly recommend!

This place is NOT like it used to be. The service was painfully bad, yet she went ahead and charged a 20% tip. We had stacks of dirty dishes before we got our food. The steak was chewy and low quality, the pasta was a ball of mushy noodles, and it took almost 2 hours to get our food.

I have tried the food truck twice now. Had the most awesome, huge, beef spare ribs a few weeks back. They were so delicious! I failed to get a picture, but you get 2-ribs that weighed at least 8 ounces per rib! Came with fries or coleslaw. Made 2 meals for $20. A great bargain and very tasty! Today, I tried their Footlong chili dog! The biggest hot dog I have ever seen! Would take about 4-5 Sonic footlong hotdogs to equal the size of this one! Homemade chili, large pieces of chili meat, allot of cheddar and I add onions. Very delicious! I posted a picture of it. The price of $20 may seem like allot, but it’s cheaper than buying 4-Sonic footlong chili dogs! You get what you pay for. Comes with fries, or coleslaw.

Interesting options for food, from steaks and burgers to sandwich combinations I hadn't thought of. We had everything from an appetizer to dessert and everything tasted and looked great. Including that amazing view!

This has to be the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life. First of all the view is amazing from the patio. There was live music on the patio it was really good. But the food, the food was amazing. I had catfish gumbo which is like nothing I've ever had before. It was incredible. The service was great. The owner came around a couple of times to check on us. This is something really old school that doesn't happen anymore, so when it does happen, it gets your attention. I was visiting my kids and took my daughter-in-law here for her birthday. This is going to be our go-to every time I'm in town. Well done guys! Everything was fabulous!

We were charged for tea and then charged again for a refill. My boyfriend ordered a filet mignon. Which was red inside. Sent it back and it came back burned on the outside and red on the inside. He did not receive his salad or potato until he was almost finished with the steak. We are accustomed for salad to come out before entree. We were charged for bread and butter and then charged again when we requested more. They brought out my soup and entree at the same time. My Ruben was sub par. It did not come with Thousand Island dressing. The whole thing was a horrible mess! We were so disappointed. Bill was $92.00. NEVER GOING BACK.

Just giving honest feedback here. I have gone to whispering woods every other month for past three years. 10 out of 10 until the past 2 visits. Ranch dressing was way watered down. No longer carry the red wine the previous owner did. Lobster tail was under cooked almost raw. They now have liquor and you will pay $20 for a grey goose and cranberry which in my opinion is a $12 drink anywhere else in the area. Total bill was $169 which I don’t mind paying for an exceptional dinner however it was fair at best. Won’t be going back anytime soon. Going to have to find a new place. 4/10 is my opinion

We have always LOVED Whispering Woods. I'm 30, and my husband's 33. Hell, we even got engaged there, and we ate there on our wedding day. It's been our favorite place to go eat for the last couple of years, until recently. The previous ownership was incredible. Food was always a 10/10, incredible flavor and always cooked perfectly. The special sides were packed with flavor and diversity. Everything was reasonably priced. We always left extremely happy we made the drive.
Unfortunately, we recently visited and were quite let down. The wait staff seemed all new, and our drinks were empty often. Someone at our table had ordered a salad, and it was never even brought out.
The prices of the food are much, much higher. Expect to pay $6-$12 more for anything you order there. Which, we would be fine with higher prices if the food tasted how in previously did for the last couple of years.
However, that wasn't the case. I ordered my favorite Lamb chops with bread pudding, and there was no flavor. The chops were supposed to be in a light carbernet sauce, but there was none. My favorite thing ever, the bread pudding, tasted like nothing. Plus, it costed $8 more than it did just a few months prior. The loaded mashed potatoes (a special side) tasted like nothing. We had ordered them before, and they had really tasted homemade but this time, we were disappointed.
We're all for paying for great food, but for the current prices and the lack of consistent flavor, poor service, and a shift in atmosphere, we probably won't go back as often. The food was okay, but for the prices, just drive to PJ'S instead. Maybe we'll try again in a few months if they can work the kinks out. It was an incredible place to eat. Such a shame.
