I love the Dairy Diner.I moved from a place that had a favored diner, and was worried Charleston couldn't deliver. Until I saw the Dairy Diner open one day.I go often, even if only for the fried pickles sometimes. Their chicken basket is my absolute favorite, with their homemade ranch that is amazing.

Does NOT recommend! Food was okay. We arrived at 7:49 and a family of 3 was ordering ahead of us. Initially our service was okay. Waiter took our order and in about 15 minutes, He brought out food and was nice. We decided to get a few of their limited fried pies, I went to the window to order and the waitress (I’m going to name her Karen) said we are actually closed. Outstanding food and service. Old fashioned drive-in style burgers. Great conversations with local “regulars” and the owner. Be sure to try a fried pie but give them a few minutes because they fry each one fresh to order! Place was obviously loved by both customers and staff and it makes a difference in the quality.
