Overall the service was good but the taste of the fish was so BLAND, plus it was fried so hard that it was more crunchy than chewy. I used to love this place but as of lately it's been very disappointing. (8/21/2024)

Serendipitously discovered as we were traveling down I-40 and trying to avoid the usual fast food restaurant immediately close to the highway. I'm glad we did. Everything great, as long as you're okay with an atemporal, classic neighborhood restaurant.

DOING SOME WORK IN THE AREA & WAS REALLY HUNGRY. I'LL GIVE THEM 4 STARS FOR THE FOOD. IT FILLED ME UP & WAS A FAIRLY LARGE PORTION. BUT I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES. NOT SURE WHO THE OWNER IS, BUT SIR, YOU NEED TO FIRE THAT MAJOR WITCH (WITH A CAPITAL "B")!!! I BELIEVE HER NAME WAS MEAGAN 'HUSHPUPPY' CLEAVER. SHE HAS A SERIOUS ATTITUDE PROBLEM & DOESN'T BELONG IN ANY FRONT OF HOUSE OPERATIONS WHATSOEVER! THE FOOD HERE IS GREAT, BUT I WOULD NEVER RETURN UNTIL SHE IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

I have been to Catfish Island several times over the last year. Customer Service is top level. Many people walk out of the building commenting on how good the fish tastes. This spot is comfortable enough for friendship, family, and more.
Very family friendly atmosphere. The servers are quick and so far have never messed up an order, even when we bring larger groups.It gets crowded some weekends, and that changes the atmosphere with all the extra sounds.
