While the food has been “ok” on the multiple times we have come here, the service has always been friendly. Unfortunately the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. When seated outside you have to fight off bugs while trying to enjoy your food. And when seated inside even when it is 79 degrees outside they don’t have any AC. We might try it one more time, but idk if I have it in me to try again. Very disappointed because the service seems friendly. There is a lot of potential to be a great time here.

We have eaten here 4 times now. I love the decor but the food has let us down repeatedly.
When seated outside you have to deal with bugs and when seated inside you might find yourself fighting off heatstroke. The decor and staff are wonderful, I really want to enjoy this place. But it’s hard when the food lets you down or there’s a fly in your drink or you’re so sweaty you’re angry.

Loved this place when it first opened and wanted to show it to my husband. We were underwhelmed by the food. The gumbo, brisket, pulled pork AND chicken were all super bland and unseasoned. The pork and chicken was clearly leftover from the day before and incredibly dry. As a bonus, I now have food poisoning right before we go on a road trip with our kids. 🙃

Service is horrible I walked in for the 4th time thinking things would be better but each time it's the same. They do not greet you at all 3 waitresses were at the register looking as if I don't belong there, I stood there 4 minutes to pick up my order not one of the 3 waitresses asked if I needed help or did I have an order to pick up one just kept stapling receipts as I stood there so I finally walked out and will never return again.

Almost famous, but without sone seasoning, will not get famous. Red beans & rice - yum. Gumbo- ehh.Fried shrimp & crawfish- yum.
Ordered bowl of gumbo and a boudin eggroll Togo, extremely disappointed. Very lacking in flavor over all, doesn’t taste like there was a roux or any trinity present. Extra heavy on okra lacking meats. Broth was unflavorful and watery. Rice was cooked okay, not too soggy not too mushy. Nice environment, nice people food overall was lacking a lot of flavor. Boudin was good, nice and spicy.

The food was terrible. I ordered the gator tacos, they were so bland that the only case came from the sauce. My husband ordered the Bad Azz burger and it was a regular burger with 1 piece of bacon, lettuce and tomato when it was supposed to have brisket on it. I also ordered the smokehouse chicken sandwich. It tasted like bland pressure cooker chicken. The only thing that had any flavor was the BBQ sauce on it. Overall, the best part of our meal was the onion rings we ordered for the appetizer.

This place was awful. I wasn't going to leave words but I just keep thinking about it the next day. We spent so much money and the food was awful. Never again will we go. Would not recommend.

Boudain balls were burnt. Asked for the old hickory burger, which has grilled onion and bbq sauce but I received the old fashioned which is just a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato. It wasn't bad ; it just wasn't what I wanted. I asked for fried okra and the baked potato salad but just got French fries. My cousin ordered the baked potato salad, but she got regular potato salad. Our waitress spilled pepsi all over my cousin's Micheal Kors purse and didn't even bring extra napkins to help clean it up. My other cousin got the beer steamed peel and eat shrimp. It arrived ice cold and wasn't even seasoned. My cousin's husband ordered a bad azz burger and didn't receive his food until almost everyone was done with their food. There was 18 of us and The waitress never asked how we were splitting the bill, so when it came time to pay, it took her almost an hour to figure out how to do it. We had to go up to the counter and tell her what each of us had and what was on each ticket. It was extremely frustrating. Like I said, there were 18 of us, but we were the only ones in the restaurant when we first arrived and she didn't have any other tables even when we were finished eating. The atmosphere was ok. I've heard they have a live band and offer outside dinning. The baked potato salad was the only thing that they got right, but it wasn'tan anything that I couldn't buy at the deli section of the supermarket. I wouldn't come back, even if they paid me.
