On Monday afternoon, I ordered a latte with oat milk because my breastfed baby has a dairy intolerance. I verified that this particular latte had no ingredients that included dairy, and the barista confirmed that it was dairy-free, and I paid and included a tip because I appreciate when baristas modify orders.
Later that night, my baby experienced horrible digestive pain: screaming, crying, writhing, scratching at his face, and spitting up. I know that the latte was made with real milk because he only experiences this way when I eat dairy, and the only thing out of the ordinary I ate/drank that day was this latte.
I emailed Demure on Tuesday morning hoping to speak with them to let them know that Dallas made my baby sick, and I still haven't heard back. I assume that this was just a completely avoidable accident, but it's dangerous nonetheless. Especially because I confirmed that there wouldn't be ingredients with dairy.
I am so disappointed with Demure for the suffering they caused my baby boy, and for their lack of accountability. They have been posting on Instagram since I emailed, so I think it's a reasonable expectation that they could call me to discuss this issue. I waited three business days, not including New Year.
Please do not visit Demure if you have the reasonable expectation that if you order from them and verify that your order is safe, that you actually get what you ordered. It's totally unacceptable and unsafe to mishandle drinks this way.

We tried this cozy spot today after seeing some videos on TikTok of their coffee and matcha. The atmosphere is very calm and refreshing, it almost has the vibe of walking into someone’s loft where they serve coffee. The cups and serving plates all give a home feeling. They also had fresh bakery item like croissants, muffins, danishes, and have a food menu with bagel sandwiches. We loved it and will visit again. (Plenty of parking available).

This little hideaway coffee place is not to be slept on. Conway offers plenty of great options for your daily caffeine hit, but Demure is certainly something special. Laid back vibes all around from the minute you walk in the door and their seasonal menu always has something interesting you wouldn't find anywhere else. If you are stopping by Hendrix or just looking for a little place to get a coffee and chill, make some time to stop in and grab a cup!

The shop had already stopped serving lunch by the time I got there so I can't rate it. However, my Americano coffee was just lukewarm not hot like it should have been. I'm an old fogey that grew up on steaming hot coffee perked in a pot on the stove until it was boiling. Iced coffee and all the different flavors available today don't appeal to me. So, take my eval for what it's worth. The atmosphere was great and the service was too. $3.50 for one lousy cup of coffee was a bit much but the shop was bright and clean so that was much better than a few other places I've been to.
