Seven (7) years ago I first ate at Tarascos and gave it a rave 5-star review. Man even five (5) years ago it was top notch! The fish tacos, salsa, etc could not be beat. Today however was the most horrendous meal I've had in a while! Flautas were small cubed chicken mixed with bag cheese and tasted as if they were fried and then allowed to soak in grease! Oh my it was NASTY! Move on to the Molcajete, same greasy mess combined with tasteless meat that was not only thin but like the questionable veggies it was all cooked into oblivion. Seriously check out the container, a fourth an inch of grease on top and a sight of the meat designed to work out your jaw and question what in the heck you're eating! Perhaps if it was the chicken and steak Molcajete as I ordered it would have been better? Let's not forget the half filled salsa bowl, beans with the same premixed cheese half melted on top (was cold and chunks below), small serving of rice, pre-dried tortillas, and stale chips! I'm glad it was takeout so I didn't have to waste my time on this travesty inside, but sadly I feel $32 was stolen from me and all I did was take their garbage away from them!

Awesome service. Awesome food. Victoria was great and offered some much needed ideas about the near by hiking trails, since we came from out of state. Highly recommend! Also, they have tequila, wine and beer.... which was nice in this dry state..

I've eaten here a few times with my family, both takeout and dine in. The food is consistently good. I really like the fresh chips and chicken enchiladas. This time I tried the green tomatillo salsa and it was delicious!

I just moved here to the area, first Mexican restaurant I visited. Mediocre at best I'm afraid. Tacky decor, walls need paint, so typical. The waitress hardly knew I was there, I ran out of chips. Good. I ran out of salsa, bad. Thin watery, where's the tomatoes and onions? Food was good but you know just like all the rest it seems. There's many Mexican restaurants in the area, i surely hope there's better. I wouldn't bring my visiting relatives here.

Almost nobody there yet still waited absolutely forever for so so food. Servers had poor attitude. Will NEVER eat here again. Go to La Casa del Sol on HWY 7 if you want excellent food and service.
