Warning! Old historic building with character flaws. No obvious handicapped accessible restrooms as we had to go up a small spiral staircase to go to second floor restrooms. There is a downstairs/basement bar downstairs open on weekend nights but they serve pre-packaged beers and cocktails in the restaurant, and if there is a bartender on duty they can bring something up.

The food was great. However there were problems with the service. At the end of our meal the waitress told us that the card reader hadn't been working since the day before. We asked for a manager, she said there was no manager. One of our group has to leave to go get cash. We believe she was stealing the money and mark that we didn't pay. Be careful visiting this place.

Most of the table had a burger, mushroom swiss for me. I think it was the best I've ever had! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. My daughter had the fajita taco salad, it was also amazing! The guac...soon good!
The chicken fried steak was okay, needed to be made with better beef cutlets, and the mash potatoes were from a box. The service is great and the atmosphere is fine, just need to repair the seats.

Today was my 1st time eating at this restaurant. My friend recommended it. He said he always goes there so I took his recommendation. We were seated at 12:15pm and didn’t receive our food until 1:45pm. That was quite ridiculous to me. I don’t blame the waitress, because she’s not the cook. I might give it a second try the next time I’m in El Dorado. But in the mean time, Black Cat, improvements need to be made in your service. Your customers are very important.
