We ate here tonight and it did NOT disappoint AT ALL! My husband had the meatloaf with the cabbage. He said they were both EXCELLENT! I had the chicken Alfredo and it was the best I have ever had! Of course we had to get the bread pudding to go! Just here for the week. Live in southeast Texas close to the La border, so we like well seasoned food. This is it! Ask for Mike when you go in and tell him his patrons from Texas recommended his place!
We had dinner here on Monday evening. I had a goat cheese salad, and my husband had some type of chicken with étouffée I think… he said the flavor was good, but it was way too runny, lots of liquid. The goat cheese salad was great. We enjoyed two cocktails and our server was great. Forgot her name but a female with braids and glasses. A large party came in as we were about to be finished, and it seemed to be overwhelming. The staff. Also, I would say they need to choose a decorating style and stick with it. They have a Cajun/Louisiana flare, then some random paintings of flowers, then a sports jersey… kind of all over the place.. to be honest I still don’t know what genre of restaurant I was in.. The food was pretty good.

I did a pickup order while in town for work. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner (meatloaf with potatoes and veggies). It was easy to call in and pick up, and staff were friendly.

I loved the crawfish dish I had here. The service was excellent. I enjoyed seeing the old pressed tin ceiling here. You can tell it is an old building, but they have uploaded virtually everything. The only reason for 4 stars for the atmosphere is because they did not move any walls here I think. That makes it awkward to get to the bathrooms. The hallway to the bathrooms is so narrow that a wheelchair would not fit. Otherwise it was a very charming atmosphere here. I wish I would have taken a picture of the menu. Most of the prices are higher than any high schooler would be able to pay for on a date.I highly recommend the food here.Parking: Street parking only unless you don't mind walking more than a block from one of the city parking lots. You can parallel park or park across the the street at the courthouse.

My sister took me to eat here for my 36th birthday. The waiter was awesome. He made sure our drinks were never too low. Checked in with us frequently enough without being overbearing and if we did have to ask for anything, he had it at our table in under 5 mins. The bathroom is really cool. They have it painted in chalkboard paint with chalk to doodle on the walls.. I thought that was different! From the moment you walk through the doors, you are instantly transported to New Orleans and I loved that. Very cool artwork displayed, along with the whole decor scheme/atmosphere! I will definitely eat here again!
