Wonderful little place just outside of town. You'll want to make a reservation, and you won't be disappointed. We were visiting from across the country and wanted to find a good steak in town. One of the local shop owners recommended Gaskins. He said it was the best steak house around. He was right! Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. The staff, the food, the service, the atmosphere, it was all great. The pricing was reasonable also. If you're looking for a great place to eat, hang out, and relax, you found it!

We didn’t know exactly what to expect when we booked this reservation but it ended up being a FANTASTIC experience all around. Not only was each course absolutely delicious, the service was top tier. Our server Andy was attentive and so so kind and really knew how to make us feel like we were the only 2 in the restaurant. My partner ordered the ribeye and Andy came and told us that the chef said the ribeyes that night were but up to his standard and recommended his order be switched to prime rib. We had no issue at all and happily switched but Andy was so apologetic and sweet and after we were done he brought a dessert on the house for having to switch meats (which the prime rib was INCREDIBLE anyways!!!! 10/10!). Not to mention my salmon meal and the Burrata starter was perfect, no notes at all. Overall, if you’re visiting Eureka Springs, add Gaskins to your list! It is a must!

Best steak I've had in living in AR. We came here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The dim lighting made everything dreamy but the campy cabin decor wasn't the most atmospheric. Again, I came for the food not the views lol. Overall it was the best food we had on our anniversary weekend. I definitely will return one day.

I ordered the prime rib and a salad for my birthday today. I asked for an extra rare cut and they brought me an ultra dry medium well to well done piece. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce only that was brown and wilted and one wrinkled cherry tomato. We drove over an hour for my birthday dinner because this place came highly recommended. We were so so disappointed and I left hungry. It was so dry and overcooked….at $50 a plate this is ridiculous.
The New York Strip was amazing as well as the bread and Creme Brûlée, but the rest left a lot to be desired for the price also, the little room seating 4 tables is very loud with 2 sets of couples seated. We felt like everyone could hear our conversation as we could hear theirs.
Best experience, best steak, best overall place that I have been to.. definitely worth the money!!
Don’t go to Gaskins unless you want to be cut off after 3 drinks, cost the waitress over $50 on a tip.

Our dinner at Gaskins Cabin Steakhouse was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic—set in a historic log cabin that feels like stepping back in time, in the best way. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food... oh my goodness, the food! The steak were cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, and melted in our mouths. I had ribeye, and Dennis went with shrimp, and we both cleaned our plates like it was our last supper! It was a wonderful experience for our 28th anniversary without a little sweetness? If you're looking for a romantic getaway or a cozy dinner spot to celebrate something special, I highly recommend Gaskins Cabin—and a trip to Eureka Springs is just good for the soul.
Good, first. Buratta app was excellent, salmon was perfect, service on point. Negative: NY strip was overcooked for medium rare. This made the steak far tougher than if it had been properly cooked. Will we return? Probably. But next time we'll both order the delicious salmon.
Some of the best prime rib I have had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection. Awesome service.
Great out of the way place for good food and great service; a bit pricey but worth it overall ... simple but elegant menu, including wine and drinks ...
It was almost perfect. Steak was so tender it would melt in your mouth and the mushroom soup we got with our meal was amazing but we have a few complaints.
First off, we were seated and got our drinks and were being served great until a group was seated in our area. We had no problem with this but it seemed to us that our waiter was favoring them. They got their appetizers and starters first despite us being the first to be seated. Even when our entres were served they got their food before we did. It was definitely frustrating especially because we had made reservations.
Now the food. We got the escargot and mac n cheese for starters. This was our first time having escargot and I will say I didn’t like it but I don’t blame that on the cooks, just me. The mac n cheese was also good. My husband ordered the New Orleans steak and potatoes and I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. His food was amazing, like I said at the beginning. Mine was disappointing. The shrimp came with the shell on so I had to peel off the tails myself just for the shrimp to not even be good. It was definitely cooked too long because it had a chewy texture. The noodles were fine.
In short, service was meh, despite the favoritism our service was nice and the host was also nice. My food was okay but I wouldn’t eat it again for how much I paid. Husband enjoyed his food though.
