This place is awesome with very good pretzels and a really kind and respectable owner. It is simply not hard to read signs and be a respectful customer so I believe all of the bad reviews are from people who can't read signs and follow requests from the owner which are clearly shown on the door, and from those who can't get over their ego. 100% recommend getting a pretzel with cheese sauce it is so good.

It was 4:42 on 7/5/24- the open sign was on and we walked in to get a pretzel and Diet Coke. 5 people were inside and the owner began yelling at me that they are closed. I told him the “open” sign was still on so we didn’t know and he said “I’m out of ice cream and giving a care.” He was very rude and belligerent as we tried to exit. Later, after the family left I went in to explain our confusion and he put his hands in my face and almost assaulted me!!!! I told him if he touched me I would call the police. He said his name is James and he owns the place so he can do “whatever “ he wants. Run away from this HORRIBLE place . 0/5 do NOT recommend. Two thumbs way down!!!!?☠️???????

I have never had a bad experience here. The food is amazing and the owner has always been kind to my fiancée and me.
I know there are reviews saying how mean he is, what they are not telling you is he does have signs on his door, his table and signs on his walls. He will stand up for himself when confronted with disrespect or hostility. If someone does something that he has asked them not to do, he will ask them to leave.
I have seen people, mostly middle aged to older women, get extremely rude towards him without just cause. I love the fact that he stands up for himself and that is one reason why I love going to this place.

The owner was lovely! Don't let the bad reviews deter you, he's just not a fan of cameras in his shop (He has a ton of cool Mickey Mouse memorabilia). My boyfriend and I were the only two in the shop at the time & he was extremely friendly and communicative while we waited on our pretzels. We definitely plan to come back next time we're around. Pretzels were delicious!

My family and friends were waiting in line to purchase ice cream from this shop. We sat at the picnic table outside so my kids could eat their ice cream. My daughter was just eating some candy, and we had to go food boxes sitting on the table (that no one was eating). The owner, I’m assuming walked out and told us we could not sit at his table because my daughter was eating candy she didn’t buy from his ice cream store. Literally, as we had 6 kids and 6 adults waiting to purchase ice cream from him. I wouldn’t recommend this ice cream store, when there is a friendly ice cream store right across the street who was happy to have our business. Not a way to do business!

NEVER GOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO ORDER!!! Owner very rude. Me and my girlfriend really wanted a pretzel dog today. However, upon walking in the store, the owner yells at us “Only 6 people in the store!” Like sorry dude, didn’t know. There was definitely room inside for us to wait. We waited for about 5 minutes outside the doors but no one ever came out. Too hot to wait around. Bye bye.
Very rude, told us when we walked in no more than 6 people in store and I will count! I looked around and counted 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, . Told him only counted 5 total people. This was our first visit to Eureka springs and our last, we didn't even order anything just walked out. If you want rude treatment with your food,but no one should have to tolerate rude service in a tourist town. I was just trying to buy my grandson a milkshake ?

NO PHOTOS! I should have read the reviews before I went the owner was SO RUDE I will never go back again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I didn't realize there was a sign that said no photography as no other building has this. I went to take out my phone and he told me I could leave and to enjoy the photos I apologized but he told me I could leave. I would have gladly deleted any photos if he asked which I did end up deleting them. DO NOT GO HERE.

This is a must stop for me every time I’m in town. Everything is fresh and made to order, so be prepared to have to wait if it’s busy. Don’t listen to the negative reviews, the owner has never been anything but kind to me. Be patient and respectful, and he will be the same. I always enjoy the conversation.
Also, if you’re a Disney fan, you’ll love this place. His Mickey Mouse collection is incredible.

Awful owner - extremely rude to people and impolite to customers. If you can avoid this place - do so! Not worth your time or money, and you’ll most likely be mistreated. Honestly can’t believe how unpleasant and unethical the owner is.

I’m sure the guy is “nice” during Eureka’s off season and he has no business. Don’t bother stepping foot in there during summer/fall. He could care less about how he treats his customers when people are coming in and out of Eureka by the hundreds. If I could give negative stars, I would.
