Rented a boat for a full day online sbout a month ago, and this morning was told to bring the boat back by 6. Apparently starkey sent an email while we were out on the lake saying I ‘agreed’ with a rental return change to a half-day when I signed off to understanding the driving instructions when we left. Then they charged my credit card $325 after we left for bringing the boat back ‘late’ even though it was rented for an extra 3 hours. Then 3 dudes in the marina yelled at us saying we signed a rental contract we never saw. And they can chsnge the rental charge day of, and do it all the time.

Pulled in after a day on the lake Into one of the Pizza boat slips, ordered pizza and enjoyed a late lunch on the water in the shade for a bit before heading back out.

Beautiful, friendly park attendant and Ranger, well maintained, clean bathrooms and showers. Swim area on beautiful Beaver Lake very close to camping area.

The marina is well kept the staff was very nice. We rented a boat for a few hours and enjoyed Beaver lake. The experience was perfect without any difficulties

What a scam. I called on Wednesday 6-25-25 and was told that pontoon rentals are $400 for 4 hours. My wife and I just arrived at the Marina and a young manager told us the price is $695 and that they have the right to raise prices. Rude, and very arrogant. Don’t take these scammers’ word. Reserve and pay on line with PayPal or they will screw you. We drove 4 hours for this memory Thanks Starkey👍🏼

I'll start by saying if your complaining about the food, it's a marina folks, not a restaurant. We rented a pontoon for 4 hours. Great customer service and instructions. Boat was clean and handled like a dream. No issues from staff at all. As for the pizza, it is homemade (we watched them punch out the dough), not something from the freezer. A bit thicker on the crust (I'm a Chicago-style fan) but lots of toppings and cooked all the way through. We'd go back (to possible by a pontoon no less)!!!!

I had a terrible experience with Starkey Marina. We rented a boat that initially seemed fine, but after about 30 minutes, it started leaning to the left. We thought it might be the weight distribution, but after three hours on the water, the situation worsened, and the boat was visibly unstable, putting our lives at risk—especially with children and pregnancy woman on board.
After returning the boat, the manager claimed we had damaged it and charged our card $400 without our consent. We strongly disagree with this charge because we were careful throughout our rental period and did nothing to damage the boat. The damage likely occurred before we rented the boat or due to the marina’s handling.
When we requested the signed rental agreement, we received a version that didn’t even have our signatures on it! This shady practice, combined with the unsafe boat they provided, makes me question their integrity and commitment to customer safety.
Despite our attempts to resolve the issue, Starkey Marina has refused to cooperate or refund the unauthorized charge. I would not recommend this marina to anyone, as their negligence and unethical practices put us in danger and then tried to hold us responsible for pre-existing damage.
Avoid Starkey Marina at all costs!
