Frankly the best food I had while in Eureka. Everything was fantastic. If you like mushrooms the Jager sauce is your thing. My wife and I got the Bavarian plate. That brown sauce was fantastic. Only thing I'd want different is swap the ham steak for unprocessed pork. Tasted a little too deli meat for me.

So cold we literally had to keep our coats on. Asked about the heat and the waitress was super nice but higher ups refused. It's November in Arkansas and 43 degrees out and it was obvious the heat in the entire building was not on. Food was good and waitress was very nice.

Food was so bad for how expensive it was. It tastes like hospital food. Was originally drawn to come by the apple strudel, but after the disappointing entrees, I didn't have much faith the desserts would be any better, so we opted not to have them. Atmosphere is dreary and dim. Service is lovely.Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled, two vegetarian dishes, but not sure why they bother with having them on the menu. Every veggie had been boiled well past palatability. They served very sad piles of grey, soggy, bland peas and carrots. Potato pancakes are dry and bland. Creamed spinach tasted really weird. The bread is dry and crumbly. I'd imagine the meat offerings must be better (it would be very hard to do worse), but they are doing no one any favors having these nursing home vegetables on the menu.

Excellent food, excellent service, priced accordingly. We enjoyed the Sauerkraut soup, Bavarian plate..best tasting bratwurst ever, so tender & flavorful. Jager Schnitzel plate was very good too. And of course apple strudel for dessert was 10/10 delicious. Danielle took excellent care of us and we will be back. Highly recommend

Enjoyed this German/ Chechoslavakian style restaurant. I had Jahal Schnitzel. My lady had the roasted Duck. Also the Potato Cakes were wonderful as well. I love the seasoning in those potato cakes. We are gonna try the apple strudel too.

I visited during Eureka Springs’ Oktoberfest. The wait staff were dressed up in traditional Bavarian clothes which made it more fun for myself. No cell phones allowed so dining alone was a bit awkward for myself and I wish I had brought something to read, however the seating placed me near a table of fellow travelers and I was able to chitchat with them, which is akin to how one would be in a restaurant in Bavaria or the Czech Republic. I enjoyed a nice German Hefeweizen bier along with my dinner.I’ve enjoyed their sauerkraut soup in the past and while I wanted to order it, I had plenty of food as it was.I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant and always look forward to visiting whenever I’m at Eureka Springs.Highly recommend.

My family and I came to this restaurant 6 years ago and we were blown away. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was authentic. We decided to come back to eat since we were in town and I can’t describe how unimpressed I was. We ordered 4 separate dishes and all were terrible. The bread before the meal was hard and stale as if it had been left out overnight. The smoked pork shank was literally 2 thin sliced ham steaks that you would get at a breakfast restaurant. The brown gravy on top was quite obviously from a can and was very salty and gelatinous. Another dish was the Bavarian plate. The potato pancakes were old and were clearly not fresh. The bratwurst that came with the meal was store bought and was something that you can get at any Walmart. The duck was dry as can be and had been reheated more than once. My daughter couldn’t finish her food because we didnt trust that the duck was properly stored. It was obviously overcooked so the temp was not a concern. The waitress, though nice, was inattentive to the table and never came back to the table after the food was given. All drinks sat empty for the meal. I had to ask twice for the bill and when I finally received it the total was $100. I don’t mind paying for good food but to pay such a high price and receive such a low quality meal was disheartening. I can say that I will never return to this establishment and would caution anyone who knows what German food is supposed to taste like. I grew up in a german community and what I was served was insulting.

We have eaten here several times on our trips to Eureka Springs. Their Wiener schnitzel, sour kraut and dumplings are amazing. LOVED the German choc cake! Great service too!!

One of my favorite all-time restaurants. My family has been dining here since the early 1980’s, and although we aren’t able to travel to the area as often, it is still a destination experience for us as they have stayed true to the traditions of the amazing Tony and Jarka. It’s been several years since we were there, but we’re planning another visit soon where we will introduce new family members to the Bavarian Inn. From the heavy brown bread and sauerkraut soup to the dumplings, schnitzels, stews and stunning desserts, everything is memorable and delicious. The service is always spot-on and professional, as everyone seems to take great pride in the dining experience provided. Last time, our host was a lovely Welsh gentleman named Michael, whose demeanor and attention to detail we remember after all this time! Cannot wait for our upcoming visit and are planning all other events around this dinner.

We fell in love with Hungarian goulash while visiting the Czech Republic. We were excited to see it on the menu here. Both of us were extremely disappointed. Four chunks of meat with 3 pieces of dumpling bread for $24? Gravy was good, but not the paprika forward flavor that we've experienced prior. To us it tasted like leftover pot roast. Nice service and throw back interior were welcoming.
