Ask to sit in Ellen’s section!! She’s the best & very attentive. Husband’s favorite weekend breakfast spot! I prefer lunch/dinner. Go before church gets out on Sundays. Portions are huge, so keep that in mind. The “little less” items are basically what a normal portion would be. Worth the $ for sure!

The Pot Roast wasn’t seasoned and dry. No amount of gravy couldn’t save it. The corn bread wasn’t even cooked. Soup wasn’t even that good. If you called can chicken and some egg noodles.

you need to fix the women’s handicap bathroom stall. it’s been out of order for a month. that’s a law suit fixing to happen.

Great service and delicious food

We were driving through town and Googled your restaurant when trying to find a place for lunch. We had never been to a Black Bear Diner before. We had a wonderful server (forgot her name, but she had dark hair in a ponytail) who took great care of us. The food was excellent and we were very happy with the whole experience. We wish you had a location here in Ohio! 😊

Dude, Black Bear Diner is legit comfort food heaven. Rolled in on a random road trip, and bam—instant cozy vibes like a woodsy family dinner. Snagged the Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak: crispy, juicy, gravy perfection. Loaded mash and cornbread? On point. Endless hot coffee sealed the deal.

Big props to JD, our server—he's a total pro with that killer smile. Nailed the orders,
and kept it fun with a quick diner story that cracked us up. Felt like chatting with a pal.
