So around 7pm my bf calls to ask about pricing and to possibly order food. We ask about the price of the Stephan Special, and the person on the phone replies with "$8.99" which sounded like a great deal. We go ahead and order over the phone, and after we get there and are ready to pay, we find out that is NOT the actual price. It's instead around $10.99 and it's half the portion size that you would get from anywhere else. Not a lot of queso, and just very underwhelming ESPECIALLY after my bf had to go back to our car and get more money. There were only two employees in the store that we saw, so I don't understand how they could've gotten the wrong price.

We went there as special occasion.Shrimp was too salty, chicken & steak so tough I couldn’t eat it. Gave it away to a homeless person who didn’t mind.Big disappointment!

El Sol is our favorite restaurant in town - not just favorite Mexican but favorite restaurant. I grew up in Texas eating good Tex-Mex and El Sol is better than good. Nachos, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. are all good. Guacamole, a good test for a Mexican restaurant, is perfect. In one of our early visits, our server recommended a new tequila. The margarita she brought us was the best ever. We've never been disappointed with the food, drinks or service. The restaurant is quiet and the servings are reasonable size so you can clean your plate. We enjoy the wall decor and the way the tables are arranged. I recently took a group there for dinner and we all enjoyed great food and service. The place is always spotless and the people are always friendly.

Food was great!!! Jutook forever to get it. 3 drink refill, 3 chip and salsa refill later, it finally got to us. Only complaint. Servers were obviously paying attention due to all the refill. Maybe just an off night, still 4 stars

It was awful. I wish I could post a picture of my salad that had water in it. It wasn’t cheap and it was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The beans were watered down and no flavor. My salad as I said, was watery. The margarita was made with fake like juice. Terrible experience.
