This was a wild experience that I won’t be repeating…I can get over forgetting to ring in my food. It happens. I cannot forgive the chef screaming at (presumably) his wife through the window over it, or the host, our server and wife arguing about whether to comp anything from our bill right next to us (they did not), or the wife throwing out comments to other customers about not caring if they were “purple with pink polka dots” ikyk. Because of the delay in putting in our order my husband’s food was severely undercooked yet mine was somehow way too hot to eat. I’ve lived in Fayetteville for 21/31 years of my life and never made it to Emelia’s until today and now I know why. I have NO IDEA how this place is in business with multiple options for quality food and service literally right across the street.

What a gem! The food was excellent, our server attended to us often, and the atmosphere was very calm and cozy. A piece of sanity in the downtown area with all the bustling college crowds.

Foods a bit pricey but delicious, the owners and staff are the sweetest people. A classic Fayetteville place, great for a cozy date night!

As always the food was delicious, the drinks delectable, and the service on point. Absolutely a Fayetteville staple! We can’t wait to go back.

Prejudice, Racist, Ruthless owner!!!
The owner walked up to me and yelled at me because I told him he was rude!
Instead of apology to me, he then yelled at me and said “I don't even know you!”

All I did was asking him nicely for a hot sauce and He has given me a look and shake his head and then give me an attitude about it”

Husband and wife are not friendly at all. We love the food but we can feel that the owner are prejudice. I wish their business going down soon!!! I can only pray for people not to go there and support the racist, prejudice, and ruthless people like them!

We had brunch at Emelia’s Kitchen before going to the WAC. Regulars love this place and not all of us are antiques, as was suggested by another reviewer. The place was packed and the food was excellent. If you want the same old, same old, go to a chain restaurant. We enjoy the ambience of this local establishment. Support small businesses!

Stopped by here for brunch. Had the crab cake eggs Benedict and the Chile relleno. The potatoes on one of the plates were room temperature. Crab cakes were too salty or overseasoned. Service was friendly though.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Fayetteville. The service was slow and rude despite the place being nearly empty. We ordered a kid’s meal for our nine-year-old and the older lady snapped that she was “too old” for it—came across as greedy, not helpful.
Crab cakes were undercooked, lamb kebabs were flavorless (and not even on skewers), and the chicken lulu was just as bland with undercooked veggies and rice. $100+ for food that tasted like hospital cafeteria fare.
The only other diners were seniors, and much like zombies in Dawn of the Dead, they keep coming back not because it’s good, but out of habit and instinct. Pass on this tired relic.

Tried it for the first time recently and I was blown away. The food was so fresh and delicious. The service was top notch, and the place is family owned and family friendly. What more could you want?!
