I’m originally from California and I think I’d found the best Chinese restaurant in NWA. Had the beef and veggie dish for lunch and they used the right pieces of beef that I’m used to eating back home. The hot and sour soup was dead on and makes me miss Cali. They also have authentic Chinese dishes if you looking for something different or originality.

Wow! Ordering food from the traditional Chinese portion of the menu is amazing. The spicy chicken is amazing! The beef stew was fantastic.

My regular take out spot. I took my 4 kids with me today and ate in. It took a minute to get the order in, but it was fresh and very reasonably timed.

We came in to try with very low expectations because there is not any other authentic Chinese restaurant in town (maybe Asian Cafe in Roger's), but that place isn't good. We tried Formosa's traditional menu, and it wasn't terrible - it's a temporary fix for authentic Chinese cuisine. Service was extremely slow but completely understandable since there was only 1 server handling online orders and dine in. The place is just like Any other typical Chinese restaurant, nothing stood out and watch your steps (high stairs).

The General Tso's is great along with the steamed dumplings, fried rice, and lo mien.

My partner and I love Formosa! We hadn't eaten at Formosa in probably ten years until recently again this year. I don't remember Formosa being this good ten years ago. Since we've ordered take-out from them a few times recently, we've gotten the shredded pork noodle soup, general tso's chicken, hot and sour soup, and beef lo mein. The shredded pork noodle soup was incredibly flavorful. I usually can only eat half of an order in one sitting, but I could not put the pork noodle soup down. General Tso's chicken tasted pretty predictable (per my partner). I love their hot and sour soup because it's actually spicy and it has thin slices of soft tofu and thinly sliced woodear mushrooms- both of which add a really nice texture to the soup. The beef in the beef lo mein was incredibly tender with a flavorful sauce. No extra soy sauce needed on anything. Will order here again soon!

The food is so good here and the service was great! I hadn't been there in about 5 years and was trying to remember this soup I had that was really good. The waitress did her best to help me figure it out, but I wasn't in town long enough to try the ones that could've been it. I'll definitely keep going there whenever I'm in town.

I have been going to Formosa for years and always have had a lovely experience with their food's taste, portion size, and everything. Since I like a quiet atmosphere, the atmosphere suits me well if I dine in. They have done a remodeling job in the last year that has made it look much more modern and clean. I hope you give them a chance. :-)

I don't want to say the food was slop quality but it was horrendous. The meat was stringy and chewy in my entree, with a slimy quality. I ate none of it and politely asked that it be taken back. My husband lost his appetite when he saw mine. Of 4 items ordered, we ate 1. They refused to comp the food we refused, and charged us $35 for what amounted to half-decent crab rangoon. Will never ever eat there again.

I placed an order to-go/for pick-up which included the bo-bo platter, an order of General Tso’s Chicken, and the shredded pork noodle soup. Service was friendly and speedy! All three items were fresh, appealing to the eye, and flavorful. The shredded pork noodle soup was by far my favorite- it has a rich broth, lomein noodles, and tons of sauteéd julienned peppers and onions. Hadn’t had Formosa in years before this order, and will definitely be frequenting them from now on.
