This was our first time visiting and because we showed up late morning there was a limited selection, so in the future be prepared to show up early just in case! I am a foodie and this place blew me away! The owner was so friendly and described the flavor profiles of the kolaches to us as we ordered. I got the spicy Gouda, rajas con queso, and the Mediterranean. I loved them all. The bun is perfection and the fillings are so savoy and comforting. The spicy Gouda was my favorite. I will definitely be back!!! Can’t wait to try other flavors.
OMG, y'all! Golden Kolaches makes THE BEST kolaches! They're better than the ones I've had in Chicago. It's a base of yeasty, soft, puffy yet chewy dough filled with fruit preserves & cheese (peach, blueberry, & blueberry in the photo). I also bought a Lemon Zest pastry that was a lemony cream tucked inside a pastry. I ate the whole thing.
