Icon. Simply the place to go if you are in Fayetteville. The ribs are fall off the bone but the filet is the star. Get the garlic sauce and thank me later. Take time to look at the pictures and the history. Should be on the historic preservation list! Chef Nick is the man!

This place is just waiting for Gordon Ramsey’s help - they need it!Pre packaged saltines and salsa when you sit down at a rib house? What?Omelette on the menu? The most overdone burger I’ve ever eaten?Blow pops for dessert? This place will get weeded out as the city grows without drastic changes.

So, I try this place again today, after a good many years. Gee, what a disappointment. Here's why: Salsa: They serve this salsa with what? Crackers. Never seen or heard of such a thing. Baby back ribs: dry as heck and broke apart like a roast texture. Using electric smokers and no real smoke or rub taste. The BBQ sauce, which I hate to use. It's KC Masterpiece. They're hot is KC Masterpiece with some likely jalapeño juice and pieces. Potatoes: Hard undercooked, under seasoned potato chunks. Really lousy. Au jus: I tried a side, just see what it was like. Some pre-fab lousy au jus. I love old joints like this. But this place is way past its prime. Hardly worth a trip for lunch; let alone dinner.

Showed up to have bbq and found the table set with salsa and saltine crackers. Does anyone have a sensible explanation for this? The servers and customers must giggle daily about how silly it is. I cant understand how anyone ever, even momentarily, thought this was a good idea. This bbq restaurant had no brisket but they did have omelets strangely. My girl and i ordered half chicken and a burger to split. Chicken was okay. Never in my life have I been served such an overcooked dry burger. It wasn't cheap either. The service was fine. The atmosphere was okay i guess. I would never recommend this place to anyone but I will always wonder how salsa and crackers seemed like a good idea to anyone ever.

Herman’s is as iconic as it gets. Three generations of our family have enjoyed their food and hospitality for decades. Nick and Carrie Wright have carried on and enhanced the food and service that has made Herman’s an Arkansas gem. It’s as good and authentic as any dining option in the region. Enjoy!

I had the shrimp. It was very tasty. The ribs were good I would say just above average. I would definitely recommend this place for a unique environment.

If you're looking for a classic dining experience in Fayetteville - look no further. Hands down best steak in Northwest Arkansas. Staff is always welcoming and accommodating. Their patio offers a wonderful spot to grab a drink while waiting for a table. The exceptional service and quality food we consistently receive at Herman's makes it a favorite dining destination for our family.

Place has been here forever but I haven't been in 30 years. The ribeye (medium rare) was the best steak I've had in a restaurant in a very long time. I liked that there were more affordable options too. Everyone liked their meal, but stick with the red meat

I have gone past this place for decades, and for as long as I can remember I've wondered what it was link inside. I finally on a whim took my wife there on a date.It was lively and busy. The place is somehow larger on the inside than the outside, but it still isn't big. We were invited to wait on the back deck where they had outdoor heaters and a bar. The drinks were quite pricey at $10 a pop for a small drink. But the bartender was generous with his pours, so that helps makeup for it.The meal itself was good. The wife and I shared a ribeye, "hash browns" and a salad. The hash browns were just country potatoes that were cooked well, but weren't anything special. The salad was good. The steak was a perfect medium rare but honestly a bit of a let down. This is a premium steak at a long time establishment, you'd expect it to be mind blowing. It was good, but it was a bit bland. They serve soaking in a shallow pool of au jux, which dissolves any crust the steak may have had, and any salt or flavoring the steak had. Again, it wasn't a bad steak, but for the price and the reputation you just kind of expect more.Wheelchair accessibility: They are handicap accessible with close parking, but this is an old building and things are close together, maneuvering a wheelchair might prove a challenge.
