I love McAlister’s food and always have. But the employees at this location have been terrible for a couple of years now.
My advice is to never order pickup or curbside pickup. They will not deliver it to your car, and they will not acknowledge you when you walk in to ask what’s going on.
I had an especially bad experience last night. There was a sign that said pickup orders were stored behind the counter, so talk to an employee. I waited off to the side of the counter by the pickup area and made consistent eye contact with four different employees. None of them acknowledged me or asked if I’d been helped.
I ended up hopping in line, and one of them said I had ordered for the Rogers location, and another said they’d just put my order at the pickup spot (why have a sign saying pickup food is behind the counter, but then set one out there?)
I went and looked and that wasn’t my order, so I got back in line. The next person I talked to said the same thing - that my order was at the pickup station. I told them it wasn’t mine. Finally (20. MINUTES. after my order was supposed to be ready) they found my food.
I had another pickup order for a smoothie down the road, and it was completely melted.
This encounter was incredibly frustrating. I am very kind to service workers because I know what it’s like. But if you have no desire to be kind to others, you shouldn’t be at the front counter.

I also wanted to mention that the lack of customer service is just the front counter. I’ve always had a good experience with the employees who come to the tables and refill drinks, etc.

Some of the best deli food I've ever had! I'm from out of town and I was blown away by the quality of the service and the food. My girlfriend and I ordered broccoli cheddar soup and a ham and cheese melt sandwich along with some potato salad and it was all remarkable quality. Food came out quickly and and costed less than $20 for two. Evertything is very fresh and aestheticaly pleasing as well. The food is brought to your table and cleaned right after you leave. Outdoor section is a huge plus also. Highly reccomend!!

I love the Mac & cheese when I want a little pasta side with my sandwich. The Italian sandwich is so tasty, or I also like the BLT+A! Can't go wrong! Recently I had the Ultimate Spud for my carb load day and it was the holy of baked potatoes! Kept me going all day, too! We are big fans of the sweet tea, I tell you wHat! I usually get the potato salad as a side or sometimes a soup (you can't go wrong--all the souls are phenomenal)!

The McAlister’s in Fayetteville, AR is the best in NWA! The food is always hot and fresh. I could eat the French dip and the spud max potato everyday it’s so good! The tea is my main reason for visiting daily because be honest who can pass up the tea pass for that price! Alex and her staff always greet me with a warm welcoming smile! They truly make me feel like family! Thank you all for such wonderful customer service!
It is normally pretty clean inside. The workers always seem to be friendly. I did feel like my half a sandwich this time around was super super small. A lot smaller than normal and that's what I always get here. And it would be nice for when you order water they give you a bigger cup. I feel like it's a kids size cup you get and after you take a few sips of it it's already gone especially since they fill it full of ice. So that would be nice if they would give you a larger cup for water.
