We are from the Houston area where there are great Mexican restaurants everywhere. We move to NW Arkansas a few months ago and have tried many Mexican restaurants. Mexico Viejo is simply the best we have found.
I don't hand out very many low star ratings but everything about this place was pretty mediocre, including the disastrous fried ice cream! The chips were excellent and the salsa descent too.
I have been here many times throughout the years. Good, solid consistent Mexican food! Love their rice and beans! Clean establishment and a nice bar with plenty of walk-up seating, at the bar. I would recommend!
