Penguin Ed’s East is my go to restaurant at least once a week. I love it! Penguin Ed’s South, where they have a fryer, is good, but I love PE East the best.
Being from Kansas City we are very proud of our BBQ and can be very judgemental towards others. BUT I will have to say that Penguin Eds did a great job . Loved the food great service and great atmosphere. When you come not only try the signature sauces and definitely try the Carolina mustard it's great. Great

First time at Penguin Ed's. We used the restaurant as a meeting place for a family gathering. The service was excellent! The food was wonderful. If you like BBQ, you should really try Penquin Ed's!
Came here for lunch on a Friday. I ordered the smoked wings as an appetizer and for my meal I ordered the sliced brisket with the onion rings and Mac & cheese. The wings were amazing and I’d probably order them as a meal next time. The sliced brisket was delicious but slightly dry compared to what I’ve had before. The sides were great especially the onion rings. The customer service was great as well. I would definitely return.

Placed a to go order and it included silverware and no plates. This was a family pack. Advertised to feed 3-4 people. I guess I’ll be handing each kid a pint and a fork haha. Do better.

Overall, I had a pretty good experience. The staff we interacted with were very friendly and accommodating. Our food came out pretty darn quick too. I got the pulled pork sandwich, fries and Mac and cheese. My girlfriend got the pulled pork, baked beans and potato salad. We both thought the pulled pork was really good. The mac and cheese while very creamy, didn't have a ton of flavor. This is more of personal preference thing though, I like my Mac and cheese to have a strong cheese flavor. My girlfriend said the potato salad was good. I'll definitely eat there again.
