Quaint little spot for the best authentic Mediterranean food in Fayetteville. Can never go wrong with the daily specials. Also good for some Turkish Coffee and baclava. Absolutely 10/10

If I could give 0 stars, I would! We drove 3 hours to Fayetteville for a Dr.'s appointment and thought we would treat ourselves to some middle eastern food (being Chicago natives now living in rural Arkansas, anything that isn't BBQ is a real treat for us). We had dined at the Petra Cafe a few years prior and remember the food being great. Not this time. My partner and I both ordered the mayo platter however, what we received was hardly what you would call a platter-sized serving. It was more like a deconstructed sandwich! I instantly recognized the gyros meat as the same kind that comes in the frozen Kronos packages that you can buy at Walmart to make at home. The fact that the lady behind the counter was doing some serious microwave-cooking should have been a warning right there. The best part of the meal was the hummus - but even that could not get 5-stars because they literally served up a dollop with my meal. What a disappointment! We've heard great things about the Thai place nextdoor and will try that out next time instead.

This is a cute and cozy little place in a nice old downtown building. Very good service. We get the lamb gyro and the Petra platter, which has hummus, babaganoush, falafel, and tabouleh. We love his amazing food. Great fresh foods, just very bland. We go here every year on our anniversary trip ?

Love the setup, very North Africa/Moroccan decor, and the staff was friendly enough. But I was hungry when I got there, and I spent $24, including tip on lunch. Portion size was almost laughable... I get it you got to make a profit, but $10 for a gyro with was half the size of any other place I ever got a gyro (some $7) and a bowl of soup $5 more like a cup and a side $4 which couldn't have had more than 40 cents worth of produce in it and didn't even fill the container it came in! I won't be back.

The food arrived quite cold and the serving was much smaller than I had hoped it would be. Tasted less like a dish and more like something I would assemble myself at home. The staff was sweet and atmosphere was lovely, at least.

Decent food, but sad to see that little of it seemed fresh. Was disappointed to see them heat up pita in the microwave and use pre-cooked gyro meat.

Petra cafe u fortunately doesn't live up to the hype. It's like being in a college dorm. Frozen foods heated up in microwaves and served soggy. Pre sliced frozen lamb meat from a box probably from Sam's. Honestly most everything accept some sauces come from Sam's. Pita not made fresh, no flavor and comes out of a bag. Super disappointing, not sure why there are so many stars for this place .

Hmmmm makes me wonder about all the great reviews here. Stopped today for lunch. I love middle eastern and Mediterranean food! Unfortunately this place leaves a lot to be desired. I had the gyro plate. If you have the "spit" running it's pretty tough to mess gyro up. But this place doesn't have the upright rotisserie at all. All the gyro was thin pieces that looked exactly the same. I'm sure it was just microwaved to heat up and thrown on a plate. I only have e 2 stars as you have to be really bad to get one. The lentil soup was good and that's why they got 2 stars. But with out that soup it's a one! Beware! Has to be better food of this type in this town. Will never. Be back.

Having spent a good amount of time all over Jordan, I can say this place has been the most authentic and best overall eating experience of a place I've been to Stateside.I really loved the cozy setting. Not a big restaurant like I expected, but very much what I'd experience in many small food shops in Jordan.Their Turkish Coffee is spot on! The spice blend was far more authentic than what I've tasted with other stateside claims to Turkish coffee (this place, you have to remember not to drink the entire cup ?)Great place, highly recommend.

The food is fine. Very tiny location that gets packed at lunch (their only hours). We were stuck by the door which loudly slams shut. As I said the food was fine but I've had better Mediterranean at that price point. Would eat there again.

Rather not see things like this when I'm eating. It's my choice to not eat here. Right, wrong or indifferent, an employee/owner shouldn't have this in front of their customers. Thankfully I have my 1st amendment right as well.
