The meals everyone ordered were really good. We all tasted a few of each others’ and the avocado toast was surprisingly a stand out favorite! Drinks were tasty, but be aware that drink pricing is a little higher than it appears given that the liquor taxes are not included in the pricing.

Had a little bit of a weight this cold Sunday morning, but it was well worth it

Excellent food. Prepared well, ample portions, and attentive service. A little pricey. Not a lot of tables so wait time may be a put off for those in a hurry.

Service was great! There were also a lot of meat substitutes (ex. Turkey bacon, chicken chorizo) the sauces and meals were incredible and service was kind and greeted us with a smile. The only critique I have is the bathrooms being a little dirty. Other than that however, good place.

I enjoyed the people and the atmosphere.... a tad pricey, food was delicious, owner was approachable, the two things was the construction and the steps up into the restaurant.....I have leg issues. Overall 5 stars

I wouldn’t waist my time.
I figured i would get pancakes seeing as i had never eaten at prelude before. I ordered the pancakes and took them home thinking there isn’t anything that could be messed up and they are so rich pretty much to the point of being inedible. I took one bite and thats all i could stomach.

A huge waist of $24 + tip

Extremely disappointing i would have maid my own if i had a kitchen but at the moment i dont and rolling pin cafe was closed so i tried something new and got let down.

They were pretty busy i must say so something is going on just haven't figured it out.

The waiter who brought me my food was cool, nice, and accommodating but thats the only reason i gave them 2 stars.

Sorry prelude bit its my honest opinion

Prelude Breakfast Bar is an absolute gem.

The owner grew up on a farm and still hand-picks much of the fruit they use, you can taste the love, creativity, and quality in every bite. She even designed their mini pancake flights herself, and let me tell you… they are hands down the best pancake flights on earth. Don’t believe me? Go test the theory.

The staff is always warm, welcoming, and on point. I even brought a friend who doesn’t like pancakes, and now she talks about Prelude nonstop. That should tell you everything.

We love this place. The food, the atmosphere, the people, it’s all top-tier. If you want incredible breakfast while supporting an amazing local business, this is the spot. Highly recommend.

It was ok just a little too much of a liberal atmosphere, to say the least.

Pleasant surprise!
We’ve tried a few times over the years to get in for breakfast, but the wait was too long. Went today, on a Monday. Food was better than expected, even though I’d heard it was good. I never eat breakfast potatoes. I’ll usually try a bite and leave the rest. Idk what they did, but they perfected breakfast potatoes and I ate 3/4 of them. Great, friendly service too. We all enjoyed what we ordered, and they were all different. Only negative was the chairs. They are metal and narrow, and sized to fit maybe a Size 12, at the most. I had to sit toward the front of the seat because the metal sides were digging into my hips. The food took my mind off that quickly!

We went there on a Sunday for a late breakfast. The wait was long and not much free parking because of the construction. The food was great! I had the pancake flight witha side ofbacon. It was amazingly delicious! The service was quick once we got seating.

I will start the review by saying the coffee is AMAZING! I often look for coffee reviews of any breakfast restaurant we visit because a bad coffee can really ruin a good breakfast. That being said, not only was the coffee so fresh, smooth and tasty, but the breakfast was top notch as well. We ordered the pancake flight (perfect idea for the undecisive eater) the traditional breakfast and an extra side of bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sourdough toast was delicious. The bacon was melt in your mouth good! I love that the food is local, and the staff were all just lovely! All in all, we will definitely come back to Prelude the next time we are in Fayetteville.

Prelude is a charming breakfast place with loads of ambiance! Pothos and other house plants are all over the place and there is a small outside deck. They offer very unique and delicious breakfast items. I had an omelet with roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, and spinach, wonderful! Even the toast was made with thick crusted, homemade bread! The coffee here is particularly good too!

I want to preface this review with the fact that I have been to Prelude many times over the years, and the reason I am leaving this review is to provide some feedback to ownership. The food is great, it is no surprise that you have to get on the waitlist to get in here, and the food is the reason I keep coming back whenever I am in town for a game. However, there needs to be better table and order management. We waited for over AN HOUR for our food, just for it to get sent to a different table because according to our waitress the kitchen put it on the wrong table ticket. It took 20 minutes to just get somebody to put our order in, and barely anyone came to check on our waters. One person at our party, their order was incorrect but we didn't say anything because at that point we were so hungry. I felt bad for the waitress because clearly they didn't have the staff to support the amount of tables with customers. We were told there was only 4 staff in the kitchen. If there isn't enough staff, don't just seat people to get people off the waitlist. I looked around the restaurant and couldn't believe the ratio of staff to customers. The cleanliness of the bathroom also reflected the fact that there was not enough staff. It was such a poor way to end the weekend, and I had hyped up the quality of Prelude to the first time Fayetteville visitors with us. I sincerely hope that these issues are resolved because the food really is great and I genuinely felt bad for the wait staff because you could see how embarrassed and stressed they were.

Really good food and local coffee brand. The service was excellent and nice atmosphere for a little restaurant. We both loved our brunch and thought the prices were very reasonable. If you are in a big rush or are expecting a Denny’s this is not a place for you! It’s more like a European sidewalk cafe! Loved it
