We had the nicest waitress. My husband really liked the sausage patties and gravy with a biscuit. I had a omelet. It was okay. Kind of dry and not much flavor. Will definitely go back.

This was the worst omelet & biscuit with gravy I've ever tried to eat. The omelet was a veggie omelet, but they used canned vegetables! It was very obvious that they were not fresh vegetables. The biscuit was extremely hard and the gravy was pasty. When the waitress came over to ask how the meal was going, she noticed just a couple of bites had been eaten. I usually do not say anything if the food isn't the best, because it's not the wait person's fault, but because this meal was totally inedible, I did tell her. She was very nice and apologized offering to bring me something else off the menu. I declined because the dish was so bad I didn't have any hopes they could do any better. She did remove the meal from our check. Another reason I did not order anything is, my husband's pancakes were pretty bad and the bacon was burnt beyond recognition. My husband did eat a little bit of his pancakes because he was really hungry, but they were so dry he had a hard time getting them down. He kept pouring more syrup, but they absorbed the syrup like a sponge. By this time we just got up paid for his meal and left. I was really surprised by this meal, because we have eaten here before and it was good, but it had been a few years ago. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the service, she was very nice. Sorry ☹️

This is definitely a local spot and it shows I don't think you're gonna see to many out of towners save for the odd college student, and that is a positive. This place is homey and great in all those ways you want a local place to be. I had the John Wayne Rolling Pin and when they say they "smother" it in gravy, THEY MEAN IT! It's truly just delightfully great. For a truly hardy breakfast I'd recommend it every time but definitely get 2 eggs instead of just 1. I'd say the only let down was my order of pancakes which were very blah. Though I will admit I'm very much a pancake snob with high standards so the average person might find them to be okay. I however would probably avoid them in the future. I plan to return again and try their burger along with their Blueberry Pie which even now I find myself dreaming of.
