We've camped in Arkansas in the fall for the last 39 years as a group of friends and for the last 10+ years lunch at the Wooden Spoon has become a tradition on our way to the campsite. Our waitress is always happy to see this motley crew and this year was no different...\nA favorite ever year is the chicken fried steak or fried catfish and this year was just as great as ever! We did have one disappointment this year though. The pies were not ready, which was a sad event although...
We ate at The Wooden Spoon tonight for dinner. Everything was delicious. The chicken fried steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Homemade dinner rolls, salad dressings, desserts, sides, etc! The staff were all very friendly. Never ran out of something to drink, but never felt pestered either!
Have a store in Idabel and was told about this place, short drive and boy was it worth the trip!!!! Lisa was an amazing waitress and the food was delicious!!!!! Those homemade rolls!!!!! I don’t know how but I managed to also eat “ding dong” cake….. we will definitely return soon!!!!
