Dining at 21 West End is always a pristine experience. The pork loin in demi-glaze, complemented by caramelized pear and the chef’s selection of vegetables, is nothing short of extraordinary—so smooth, rich, and layered with flavor that every bite feels both comforting and refined.

The service elevates the evening even further. Taylor, behind the bar, delivers hospitality with effortless charm and attentiveness, making each guest feel genuinely cared for. In the kitchen, Tyler’s mastery shines—his precision and creativity transform each dish into something memorable, reaffirming why this establishment maintains such high standards.

From cuisine to service, 21 West End remains a true gem: consistent, elegant, and deeply satisfying.

Very cool place with a prohibition kind of door entry with a password box(wasn’t used but cool). You go down into the basement which I think was the old jail(don’t quote me on that). Food was great, wine list is very nice. If you want a high end meal and good wine this is your place.

It has been a few years since we were in Fort Smith and ate here. The food and the service were just as good as we remembered. The good: The restaurant is downstairs in an old historical building. When there look at the beams above you and appreciate the long spans of dimensional lumber that would be hard to come by now adays. The place is very open and airy, with plenty of space between tables. Very good for conversations. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. We had a wide selection of meals including the pork loin, filet mignon, scallops, seafood linguini; and all were excellent. Their soups and salads are very good and worth trying with your meal. Very good bar and wine selections. The not so good: Very little downside here. It is upscale and excellent for a special night out.

The food is outstanding!

A diamond in the rough of the Ozarks. Whiskey and beer selections are solid.

Been there 3 times while traveling for work; had food poisoning twice!! First time was good, second time left me in the fetal position, sprinting to the throne nonstop for 12 hours. Third was not quite as severe, but still a very rough 10 hours following. Each poisoning event was after eating raw items: steak tartar, and tuna tartar...lesson learned. Despite wanting to like this place, I can NEVER go back. Brutal experience. Only times in my life I can confirm getting food poisoning.

Amazing location, very intimate, everything about our evening was delicious and exceeded any expectations I had by a large margin. Reservations on the weekends are HIGHLY recommended. Only caveat I could mention is the confusing layout, but that's part of the mystique. When you walk thru the old style speakeasy door nothing greets you except a stone stairwell leading down 2 flights to the basement, then turn RIGHT for the main restaurant. Our server Mitch was a delight, and made several recommendations that we took advantage of, including cocktails and entree choices. The sea bass was melt in your mouth as was the filet mignon. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. Wonderful experience all around.

It was nice getting to enjoy the quaint and pleasant atmosphere. It wasn’t loud and did not have obnoxious people there. The food is excellent and we’ve been there several times and never disappointed. Staff are friendly just wish they had better parking

Service was friendly, informative, and attentive. Our waiter even told us of the history of the building which was the first municipal building and jail in the 1800’s.

The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. And salmon is difficult to find that has been cooked well. The smoked chocolate truffles for dessert were rich and decadent. Next time we will need to try the charcuterie board. The table next to us ordered it and it came out with a lid that when the waiter removed it, the most amazing smoked aroma was released.

Definitely recommend trying this out. The menu had good variety and unique flavors.

The place we were going to go to was closed, so we chose 21 West end on a whim. Dang did we hit a home run. This place was awesome. Our server was friendly and offered wonderful suggestions. Literally everything that we ate and drank was absolutely wonderful. Wife had the filet mignon and it was like butter, I had the tomahawk porkchop which was amazing. Drunk menu was great, atmosphere was great seriously go try it out

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere screamed luxury—elegant, modern, and effortlessly swanky. Every detail, from the lighting to the tableware, was curated to perfection. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. My dish was a work of art, cooked flawlessly with bold flavors that somehow remained balanced and refined. The service matched the setting—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. A truly exceptional dining experience from start to finish.

Wow. Great food, cool vibe, service impeccable. What else could you ask for?
Ask about the history of the building and you get the story. I love a knowledgeable waiter.

Exceptionally poor all the way around. Poor service - waiter more concerned about pushing bar products than serving his patrons. Very long wait for all aspects of the meal - appetizers 20+ minutes, main coarse same thing and deserts ordered simply didn't come out and had to cancel due to time constraints. I had the seafood linguini $40 - 2 medium shrimp and 2 mid-sized scallops literally all that was in the dish...there was a copious amount of pasta. Flavor was DOA... No bread was served with my meal or any of my companions. Ambience as you'd expect with the historical district vibe...quite like the look of the facility. Cool men's room - pic of the 3 stooges and the frog quite the hoot'. Not the place it once was...not sure if owner changed...chef changed...something indeed changed that tanked this place...will not return. Hope to save the grief of others thru this review.
