We ordered birria ramen and quesabirria tacos. The consome for the ramen was all fat and oil, when you serve consome you need to remove the fatty layer at the top so that you can serve the broth and it was way too salty and don’t bother getting the side of rice and beans they were awful the tacos weren’t bad but they weren’t good either I do not recommend eating here

10 out of 10! If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine look no further. Birrieria La Jefa is conveniently located in the Downtown District of Fort Smith, AR. In a city where Tex-Mex is the style majority Hispanic restaurants serve. Birrieria La Jefa offers flavorful authentic Mexican dishes. Favorites of mine include Enchiladas Verdes, The Mega Burrito, LA Burrito, Wet Burrito, Tacos De Birria, Queso Tacos de Birria, Torta, & Quesabirria. As well as all of the breakfast items.
Birrieria La Jefa is perfect for families, date nights, quick eats, solo dining, brunch (w/ mimosas), or for meeting friends or coworkers. The atmosphere is great. Clean, Modern, Downtown Dining.

Edit: after this they did add the option to the online menu! So excited to be ordering again! And thank you for taking this into consideration! What an amazing company!
The best part about birria is the Consomé served on the side as a dipping sauce for the tacos. This is a part of the meal ANYWHERE you go. It’s inconvenient when making an online order and there’s no Consomé included with the dish. There is also no option to add this as a side or al la cart option. The girl who answered the phone when I called the restaurant to get assistance with this seamed irritated. The food was delicious! Hopefully this goes to higher up and can be changed in the future! If so we will be back!

We found this restaurant on Google maps while in downtown Ft. Smith. So, we tried it for lunch. Wow! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a dish that didn't come with rice and beans, but honestly- it didn't need it. An entire meal in a folded over 12 inch tortilla . Restaurant was very clean and the wait staff was friendly and promt. They have an open kitchen and we will definitely go back to try some of the different dishes coming out of the kitchen. Again, absolutely delicious food.

Cheese dip was basically just water with some cheese in it, couldn't even get it to stay on the chip, order birria tacos, they had no birria dipping sauce with them and they were so dry I choked. They got my order of water correct, thank God.
God forbid you have a bathroom emergency right down the street and they are the only place open to use the bathroom (and you pick up dashes there all the time you just didnt have one this particular time) they wont let you use it. I wish the white girl that worked there was still there she was super nice 😕 the new ladies they have an attitude problem. But the food is great I just dont like these women in there.

Loved them since the food truck days. Today I brought my family in for brunch/lunch. Waiter didn't write any of my order down. Guess he didn't need to because it all came out perfect, hot, and delicious. The owner also did her best to check in with everyone dining.
Really couldn't ask for more. They did everything perfect today, and my family is very grateful for all of it.

Server was very nice! But she was over worked. She had too many tables, for 1 person to handle. Ex. Ordered carne asada fries and the fries were still frozen, mexican burrito and had French fries in it, overall food was okay. However the service was not great again not the servers fault management needs fo address the issue.

No difference in portion size of burritos the $17.00 burrito is the same size as the $13.00. The food was pretty much flavorless. The guy waiting on us was slow, he didnt appear to want to be there (It was raining though) there were 8 people in the restaurant. We were there first food came out almost an hour and a half later those who came in after us hadn't eaten as we were leaving. Had the food had flavor it might have been worth it. I suggest 70th street El Loritos, La Mesa on waldron oh and or taco Bueno on rogers

The food was off the hook really really good. We got the birrieria tacos, they were so good
I had come in for the first time today i had a burrito and it was delicious i also order the chips with 3 dips the dips were good but the chips were stale and the appitizer came after the meal was served. Burrito was great everything else was poor the chips and the service sucked
The music was so loud we had to leave
Had the Birrieria plate and chips with queso but the queso was so 'watered down' the waiter even spilled it and dropped it all over our table n floor
Service was not very good
Prices not cheap
