The reason for the 2 star review is due to the poor service we experienced while visiting KPOT our first time. We arrived at 9:20pm as a party of 5 and were told they can accommodate us as they stop seating at 10:30 (which is when they close). As we got our table, our server immediately made it known that we needed to put in our order as soon as possible since the kitchen was closing in 40-50 minutes. We were also told that we could order our soda, but that we may not be able to get refills since they were out or that they would close the soda fountain. We were very understanding and did not want to complain but the entire time we were dining, we felt so rushed. We didn't not enjoy our food, and we couldn't even finish cooking our food because the server told us at 10:25 that we had 5 minutes to finish and leave. I did send an email the proprietor immediately after we left because that kind of service was unacceptable. The food was good but the service and feeling rushed is the cause of the low star review. Don't say you can accommodate our party if you intend to shut down your kitchen 30 minutes after you seat us.

The food is a great value and great quality, Mily was our server and she was extremely attentive even with how busy the restaurant was. It was a long wait but we loved the feature that we could check our estimated wait time online. The only thing I will say is, especially if it is busy, if you are autistic or have sensory issues bring your noise protection because it gets very loud. Over all one of our favorite restaurants with a cute look, great service, and tasty food that keeps us coming back again and again.

It sounded like fun. We thought we'd try it but it doesn't appeal to me. It's expensive, chaotic, and sloppy. This is a place where they put a hotplate in front of you and you cook your own meal adding whatever they have. It's all you can eat for $30 per person on weekends. There is a time limit. You only have two hours. If you leave any left over food, over a pound they say, you'll be charged more. They said not worry about that, they rarely do that, but they kept reminding us that they charge for uneaten food if it's over a pound of waste. No biggie really, we're not wasteful. You can have Korean BBQ or Ramen hot pot. We opted for BBQ. They have tiny bar where you make and mix your own sauces to put on your cooked meat. It's a tiny spot that is slammed as waves of customers make their first orders rush up for sauces and dessert. There are not recipe quantities just through them together. Everything tasted the same and the experience was just frustrating. They had chicken nuggets and fries on the bar for kids and some desserts. This restaurant did it as well as they could but it just doesn't work for me. Workers were friendly and helpful. Cooking my own food was a hassle. The ordering system while smooth but was still work. The meat was just unseasoned raw meat with a few items bathed in hot sauce which just made the griddle sticky and black. It's a slop fest. I don't care for raw chicken touching my other items that are nearly cooked but if someone wants chicken they have to put on or it will never get cooked enough. There were only 3 of us and the food took forever too cook. We were there an hour and a half. I can't imagine if there were six of us for one tiny griddle. Good look cooking potato slices. Get ready for raw potato. I could have ate more but I was done. My arm was tired from reaching over the grill with the thongs for over an hour. I stunk when I left like I had been cooking all day. If the place were smaller and more intimate, it may work. This large establishment with a business design like Golden Corral did not work. The resources were not available to support that. Without seasoning and sauces, it's all pretty bland. Can't take time to work on a sauce because the line is thirty people long. At this price, I could go to a Brazilian steakhouse and have the meat cut off the bone all day with no time limit.

This place was terrible! Very chain like restaurant with poor flow to get to side/sauce bar. We had a party of 7 and placed in table with Korean grill placement as to only allow 2 people out of the 7 to reach as well as such a small grill would only fit food for 2 people. Raw chicken was served with no cross contamination prevention what so ever (raw vegetable sides/cooked rice etc. touching raw chicken and no separate grilling tongs to handle the raw chicken). Grill got so cold from 7 people trying to use no one really ate much beside the crappy chicken nuggets on side/sauce bar, kimchi, and rice. I paid for 3 of the party, spent $130 and ate 6-7 fried chicken nuggets, a cup of kimchi, a 1/2 cup of cold rice, and maybe a ounce of Korean BBQ. The other 2 with me ate very similar. Much, much, better Korean BBQ in KC that I have experienced. Oh, and you order your food using a nasty greasy with fingerprints tablet to top off the experience. Wait staff was not very helpful explaining system or bringing sides, etc. We drove 75 minutes for one of the worst dining experiences to date. Possibly the Hotpot may be better, tables are set up better for that. My next step is filing a complaint with the health inspector after this experience before someone gets really sick.

This was fun experience and the food was amazing! Portions were good for minimal waste and there were lots of sauce options for cooking. We opted to get the Hot Pot and the BBQ, but you can certainly pick one or the other. We will definitely be going back! Also our waitress Sam was very attentive we enjoyed her service!

The food here was so good. Lots of options for sauces and side for your ramen or kbbq. Cass was super helpful explaining everything and checking on us. Definitely will come back again. 10/10

I went back after doing the grill option and did the hot pot option, and loved it! I did the spicy seafood broth which just got better and better as I ate it. Lots of vegetable options which made me happy, and the pumpkin is my favorite addition! I would give this place five stars if they didn't have plastic straws.

We always have so much fun and the food is great! My son loves cooking us food and mixing his noodles and other items in his hot pot.

This was my first KPOT experience and I already want to go back. We opted for the Hot Pot plus KBBQ. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Ordering was done on the tablet and food came out quickly. I also love that they have a sauce bar to experiment with. The table size was large enough to fit a feast of a meal. The atmosphere was inviting for any age group. The kiddos had a great time as well. They got some chicken nuggets and fries from the bar and ramen noodles for the hotpot. Is adults got Tom Yum soup for the hotpot and it was about medium spicy. Not sure if you can adjust the heat level but I liked it. It's a definite recommend from me. Check them out!

Got the kbbq all you can eat. $30 on the weekend. Pretty expensive but the food is really good. They don't bring you the free sides like they do in other kbbq places. At least you get free rice. There is an appetizer and sauce buffet style thing near the entrance. But it's not much. There are a lot of sauces to choose from. I wish the sauce bowls were smaller but you could get more and try a little bit of each flavor. Anyways the actual bbq was amazing. The short ribs are always my favorite. Mmm so good. Everything else was flavored wonderfully. The staff around to change out the middle thing. Reminder to wear old clothes because you will stink like bbq!!! Lol. Anyways yummy spot!!!

A friend and I went here to try out their hot pot. Everyone gets their own personal hot pot and their choice of broth. From there you order any kind of meat you want from this iPad thing and it gets delivered to you real fast. They have a large sauce station that's a bit overwhelming if you're not familiar with what mixes well, but they have a few signs that shows you what goes well together. There's a small dessert station that has these cakes that changes during the week. The only down part is when you need more broth, he just filled out pots with hot water, so my hotpot was pretty diluted. I'm sure you can request for more actual broth but I'm not sure. Otherwise it's a great all you can place to go with your friends!

Went Here for hubby and I date night and his birthday. I haven't been in a while and had a craving for it. We went about 530 6 and got seated almost immediately. Our server Anais was awesome. She was extremely attentive and her recommendations and knowledge of the menu off hand were superb. She made sure we had everything we needed including a tower of sangria which tasted amazing. I fint nind giving tips for service and often times the service socks. But this young lady deserved it and we both were very appreciative of her. If you ever go ask for Anais she was the best server ever.

Thank goodness a new Korean bbq spot to try!! Coming from California where this type of cuisine is almost at every corner, it was refreshing to see this come to a pretty spot in the mini shopping area of OP! I've visited a couple of times and ordered both the Korean bbq and hot pot option. I am a bit disappointed at the lack of variety with the Korean bbq option, but pleasantly surprised with the variety in vegetables for the hot pot option! They have a neat little sauce bar where you can mix and match your sauces and also grab some kimchi and other little items. You're given those little monitor screens to keep ordering more meats and veggies while a server tends to your drinks and other items you can't get on the kiosk, like a bowl of rice. Overall it gets the job done if you're craving some Korean bbq/hot pot. I do wish they had some appetizers, but I guess that means you just eat up on more bbq!

This place is pretty decent for hot pot and kbqq. You can order off a tablet and have the item delivered to your table. You are also able to make your own sauces at the bar and I recommend getting Kim chi and sliced daikons to go with the bqq. I would recommend doing both the kbqq and hot pot at the same time. It's only $5 more..so why not. While the meats may not be premium meats, it's still pretty decent for the price. So definitely check them out.

This was our first time trying this place, and we enjoyed it! We did both the grill and hot pot for an extra $5 per person ($35 per person). We enjoyed the BBQ more mainly due to the selection of food they had. It was nice to order big chunks of steak. My personal favorites were the garlic shrimp, and garlic pork belly and the gyoza. Their table with the sauces, spring rolls etc is also pretty good. The food came out fast. One thing to note is that you will smell like all the food once you leave, even though I washed my coat once, it still lingers a bit. I would definitely go back but maybe for lunch M-F as it's $19. I didn't feel like I was able to eat enough for the price of the dinner/weekend prices but for someone bigger it would be fine.
